Ellen Tolley according to our family records was actually named Ella Lee Tolley this had me confused when I was checking Yancey Co. N.C. Census Records but as you know these records are never completely accurate. She married Lafayette Blankenship on Nov. 14 1895 in the Cane River area of Yancey Co. N.C. She died Mar. 26 1920 in Buncombe Co. N.C. and is buried in the Francis Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery in North Asheville N.C. B.L. (Fate) Blankenship was born Nov 16 1868 in Madison Co. N.C. He died May 3 1952 and is buried at West Memorial Park in Weaverville N.C. They had eight children the two you did not have listed were Rex Blankenship who died in Buncombe Co. on Oct 12 1922 and Jack Wilford Blankenship (My Great Grandfather ) Born Jan 1 1902 Died Dec 2 1952 in Buncombe Co. |
