I went to a Tolley family reunion in Jackson County, NC this past weekend and while there I found Leonard & Martha's graves. They are buried behind the casino on Stillwell Branch Road. After you past the casino you go maybe 3 or 4 blocks when you come to Stillwell Branch Road the road is right beside of El Camino motel. You make a right onto Stillwell Branch Road and go about 3 10's of a mile you will see a walnut tree on your left, the casino parking lot will be on your right. There is a path at the walnut tree that takes you up about 35 or 40 feet. You will find a Bradley grave yard there with about 14 graves. Leonard & Martha's graves are in there. His grave has Ben Tolly 1841-1926 The Ben is supposed to be Len Tolly, Martha McDaniel Tolley's grave has Martha Tolly 1845-1935. If you go about a block further up the road you will see a log cabin sitting in a curve on the right, this log cabin use to belong to his son Thomas (Tom) Tolley. The cabin may also have been Leonard's at one time since he is buried near by but I don't know this for sure it. The family at the reunion also states that at one time the land that the casino sits on now was once Leonard and Tom's farm. If someone should want to look for this to maybe take pictures and can't find it, the neigbors are very helpful. Mary Tollie |
