- JOHNSON CITY - Mrs. Harriette Susan Cheek Carr, age 72, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday October 29 2019 at Cornerstone Village with family by her side.
A retired Washington County teacher, Mrs. Carr was active in the Washington County Republican Party and enjoyed volunteering at county elections and serving meals at the Salvation Army.
Harriette was born December 25, 1946 in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Inell Cheek. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Arthur Blaine "Butch" Carr, and by her two brothers, Charles Cheek and Hugh Cheek. She was a longstanding member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include three children, Blaine Carr (Abigail), John Carr (Kayla) and Aneita Carr.
