    Notes:

James Moody, known to many as Jim or Jimmy, passed away Christmas day 2022 in Charleston, S.C. He was the son of Dallas Moody and Martha (White) Moody. He and Patsy moved to Charleston to be closer to their daughter, but let’s be honest, granddaughter, Cameron. Condolences sent have been that he was a good man, kind to everyone, everybody loved Jim, and he was always good for a laugh. He loved everybody and a life lesson he taught was to love everyone equally. No one was a stranger, something Dallas (Chip) and I endured as children trying to get to the toy aisles at Walmart but stopping to talk to someone every aisle along the way. Some of his favorite pastimes were watching cartoons with his kids when we were younger, loving on his grandchildren, buying knives and guns, “hunting”, fishing, making barbecue sauce, having a fish fry, and seeing how far he could throw someone off an inner tube behind the boat. Many of our happiest hours were spent on Watauga Lake. We will privately be spreading some of his ashes there and in his favorite hunting spots. Those left to cherish Jim’s legacy and keep his stories and phrases alive are his wife, Patsy Moody; daughter, Marsha (Moody) Thompson; son, Dallas Moody; daughters-in-law, Isabel Castro and Carrie Thompson; grandchildren, Nico Moody, Camilo Moody and Cameron Thompson; and brothers, Richard Moody and Bob Moody. He is also survived by too many nephews, nieces, and cousins to name. His Celebration of Life ceremony will be at Little Milligan Church on Saturday, February 25, at 2 p.m. A graveside service interring his ashes will follow at Little Milligan Cemetery.
