    Linda Lou Honeycutt Greene, 80, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Sycamore Springs Assisted Living Community in Elizabethton. Linda was born May 7, 1941 in Elizabethton to the late Dave and Ruby Fulton Honeycutt. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her two sisters, Louise Puckett and Mary Sue Harmon Keers.
    Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family and her Lord. She was a faithful member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and enjoyed serving the Lord and fellowship with her church family. Linda also enjoyed cooking, sewing and most of all spending time with her family. Her absence will be felt within the hearts and minds of everyone that knew her.
    Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include her husband of 62 years, William J. “Bill” Greene, of the home; her daughter, Angie Greene Tyson and husband Mike of Bristol, Tenn.; her son, William Joseph “Joe” Greene II and wife Sherry of Roanoke, Va.; seven grandchildren, Michael Tyson IV and wife Ariel, David Tyson and wife Nicole, Benjamin Tyson and wife Michaela, Carol Ann Tyson Saunders and husband Jordan, Jonathan Tyson and fiancée Janae Noah, Jenna Greene and fiancé Cameron Gonino and William Joseph Greene lll; and 11 great-grandchildren, Cale, Gabe, Judah, Levi, Zion, Israel, Graham, Ari, William, Ezra and Mila. Nieces and nephews also survive.
    A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at Lynn Valley Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Greene, Pastor Mike Tyson and Pastor Michael Tyson officiating. Music will be under the direction of Larry Adams. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, April 11, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Linda’s grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Lynn Valley Baptist Church.
