    Margaret Louise (White) Hatley, 89, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Hermitage Nursing Home. She was the daughter of Clifford and Katie White.
    Margaret was a member of Roan Street Church of God for 70 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed listening to bluegrass and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her special dog, BoBo.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jack Hatley; daughter, Lora Bowman; sons, Clifford Bo Hatley, Jeffrey Joseph Hatley and Larry Mack Hatley; siblings, Martha “Matt” Maupin, Margie “Bud” Montgomery and Junior White; and granddaughter, Jenny Hatley.
    Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary Wayne Hatley (Judy), “Stoney” Hatley, Jerry “Roy” Allen Hatley, John Hatley and Rev. Mark Hatley (Geri); and sister, Peggy Buckner. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
    A Service to Celebrate the Life of Margaret Louise (White) Hatley will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Roan Street Church of God, Elizabethton, with Rev. Ken Bewley and Rev. Jody Bewley officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Friends may also call at the residence of her grandson, Chad Hatley, 8 Glacier Drive, Johnson City, TN 37604 at anytime. The graveside service and committal will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, in the Whitehead Cemetery, Butler, Tenn. Active allbearers are Chad Hatley, Kaleb Denton, J.B. Hatley, McKenzie Denton, J.J. Hatley, Lori Hicks, Zachery Coggins and Brittany Bowman. Honorary pallbearers are members of Roan Street Church of God.

    Margaret married Jack Joseph Hatley on 9 Oct 1951 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Jack (son of James Monroe Hatley and Roxie Mae Pierce) was born on 21 Feb 1928 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 14 Nov 1991 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Whitehead Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee.     Lora Louise Hatley Bowman, 65, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Johnson City Medical Center.
    A native of Carter County, she was born July 28, 1956.
    Lora was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and was a homemaker. She loved being with her grandchildren, fishing and picnicking. She was a member of Roan Street Church of God.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cody Bowman; her father, Joseph Jack Hatley; and three brothers, Larry Mack Hatley, Clifford “Bo” Hatley and Jeffrey Joseph Hatley.
    Survivors include her daughter, Brittany Brooks Bowman; two grandchildren, Jayden Anthony William Stout and Sarah Marie Brooks Stout; her mother, Margaret Louise White Hatley; and five brothers, Rev. Mark (Geri) Hatley, Terry J. Hatley, Jerry A. Hatley, John T. Hatley and Gary Wayne (Judy) Hatley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jody Bewley and Pastor Ken Bewley officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 3, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
