Norman "Doug" Nave, age 82, of Elizabethton, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at his residence. Doug was born in Elizabethton to the late William and Opal Bare Nave. In addition to his parents, Doug was also preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Nave, Glen Nave and Horace Nave.

Doug worked as a track inspector for the railroad and also drove a bus for the Carter County School System. He enjoyed staying home relaxing and watching racing and college sports on television. Most of all, Doug enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish Doug's memory include his sons, William Nave and Doug Nave; his grandchildren, Caynne Nave and Connor Nave; and his brother, Jerry Nave. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Services for Doug will be private.

Douglas Allen Nave, 53, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2022. Doug was born in DeKalb, Ill., to Mary Ann (Kizis) Nave of Sycamore, Ill., and the late Norman Douglas Nave.
Those left to remember and cherish Doug’s memory in addition to his mother include one brother, Bill Nave of Sycamore, Ill.; a niece, Cayenne Nave of Sycamore, Ill.; and a nephew, Connor Nave, also of Sycamore, Ill.
A graveside service to honor the life of Douglas Allen Nave will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 10, in the Nave Cemetery (Siam Road, Elizabethton).
