    Glenn Darrell Hammons Sr., age 80, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 9, 1940 to the late Sam Hammons and Maxie Willen Hammons. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Hammons, Fred Hammons, and Larry Hammons.

    Glenn was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family. He lived for his Lord and Savior and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.

    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Charlotte Pardue Hammons; children, Donna Arnold (Mike), Darrell Hammons (Linda), Charles Rankins (Wilma), Glenna Lewis; sisters, Ella McCulloch (Jim), Nancy Wilson (Keith); brother, Richard Hammons; grandchildren, Joshua Arnold, Eric Arnold, Ethan Arnold, Dustin Rankins, Kristen Main, Harley Rankins, Devin Lewis; great grandchildren, Liddy Arnold, Maddy Arnold, Alyvia Arnold, Elyana Arnold, Riley Arnold, Kayden Main, Ryland Main, Lainey Main, Gavin Rankins, Carter Seatz; several nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Mountain City Funeral home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Frank Woods and Shannon Courtner officiating. The graveside service and burial were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Harley Rankins, Eric Arnold, Ethan Arnold, Devin Lewis, Robbie McCulloch, and Brian Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were Riley Arnold, Joshua Arnold, Dustin Rankins, Kayden Main, Ryland Main, Carter Seatz, Gavin Rankins, Jeff Hess, and Hunter Hess.

    Ella Mae McCulloch, age 78, passed away on December 7, 2022 at Mountain City Care Center. Ella Mae was born May 6, 1944 to the late Sam and Maxie Hammons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, James “Jim” McCulloch and brothers, Larry Hammons, Fred Hammons, Frank Hammons, and Glenn Hammons.

    Ella Mae was a long time member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved the times that her and Jim had together, especially sitting on their back porch. She also loved watching Tennessee football and basketball.

    Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Robbie McCulloch and wife Kathy, Jimmy McCulloch and wife Glenda; daughter, Christy McCulloch Mann; special niece, Susie Yoggerst; special great nephews, Anthony and Zach Yoggerst; sister, Nancy Wilson and husband Keith; brother, Richard Hammons and wife Helen; grandchildren, Chelsea Shaw and husband Devin, Katie McCulloch, Wesley McCulloch, Lizzie McCulloch, Xander Mann; great granddaughter, Kennedy Grace Shaw; several nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Michael Icenhour officiating and special music provided by Lindsey Yoggerst. The graveside service and burial will follow the funeral at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Yoggerst, Zach Yoggerst, Wes McCulloch, Darrell Hammons, Xander Mann, Shane Humphrey, Brian Wilson, and Jeff Hess. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Wilson, Richard Hammons, Melvin Humphrey, Steve Mooberry, Larry Motsinger, and Dean Pope.

    Ella married James Robert McCulloch about 1960 in , Johnson County, Tennessee, . James (son of John D. McCulloch and Edna E. Ward) was born on 31 Aug 1939 in , Johnson County, Tennessee, ; died on 20 Nov 2022 in , Carter County, Tennessee, ; was buried in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Johnson County, Tennessee, .
