    Murrel Otis Mullins passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, at the age of 85. He was born to the late James Otis Mullins and Helen Gordon Mullins. He was preceded in death by brothers, Bob Mullins and Roy Mullins, and sisters, Wanda Clemson and Helen Sayler.
    Those left to cherish his memory is wife, Marcella Mullins; sister, Millie Pierce; his beloved children, Shane (Cathy) Bontrager, Shaun (Dinah) Mullins and Bryan (Meagen) Mullins; grandchildren, Autumn, Paul Bontrager, Jacob, Kylee Mullins and Brycen Mullins; and great-grandson, Jarrett Hicks.
    Murrel was a bus driver for both Elizabethton City Schools and Johnson City Schools. He was also a longtime supporter of Cyclone Football. He was a member of the chain gang, Cyclone TD Club, drove a team bus, and started the fireworks at Dave Rider Field.
    Murrel was a member of Southside Christian Church where he loved handing out bulletins every Sunday morning.
