    Ida M. Andes, age 76, 363 Pine Hill Rd., Elizabethton, went to be with her Lord Monday, September 18, 2006 at her residence following an extended illness. She was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Dave P. and Minnie Bullock Ellis. Mrs. Andes was a member of Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church and retired employee of Hook's Restaurant. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Andes was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Andes, two sons, Eddie Andes and Mark Andes and one sister, Mabel Birchfield. Survivors are one daughter, Barbara Hunter, one son and daughter-in-law, David and Sherri Andes, all of Elizabethton, one grandson, Charles Andes, one great-granddaughter, Charlsea Andes, both of Johnson City, three sisters, Juanita White, Atchison, KS, Selda Wilson, Elizabethton, Gladys Nance, Bluff City, one step-grand-daughter, Jessica Napier, two step-grand-sons, Jeremy Napier and Mark Napier, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Andes will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 21 at the Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Derl Curry officiating. Music will be under the direction of Harvey Crusenberry and Allison Crusenberry. Interment will follow in the Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 20 at Tetrick Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the residence at any time at 363 Pine Hill Rd., Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be Clarence Perry, Charles Andes, Eddie Stanley, Jeff McGee, John Hughes, Roy Perry, Ron Pierce and Terry Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Morrell, Dr. Ray Lamb and Staff, Kelly Mayden, Dr. Vivian Clark, Dr. David Hecht and Jamie and Staff.

    Ida married Charles Edwin Andes about 1951 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Charles (son of Joseph Walter Andes and Sarah Elizabeth Potter) was born on 6 Mar 1930 in , Washington County, Tennessee, ; died on 12 Oct 1969 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Keenburg Fw Baptist Church Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee.     David Gene Andes, 61, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at his residence.
    A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Charles and Ida Ellis Andes.
    David was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended ETSU. He was employed at Snap-on Tools. David was a member and Leading Knight of the Elizabethton Elks Lodge #1847. He attended Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church. His hobbies were fishing and golf.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Eddie Andes, and a sister, Barbara Hunter.
    Survivors include his wife, Sherry McGowan Napier; three step-children, Jeremy Napier, Mark (Jessica) Napier and Jessica (Joseph) Carey; 11 grandchildren; his best friend, golfing and fishing buddy, Clarence Perry; and a nephew, Charles Andes.
    Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, March 27, in the Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Fleanor officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, will be Jeremy Napier, Joseph Carey, Mark Napier, Kevin Lipford, Clarence Perry and Michael Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Elizabethton Elks Lodge #1847 and employees of Snap-on Tools. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, the staff of Indian Path Cancer Center, the staff of Holston Valley Cancer Center and members of the Elizabethton Elks Lodge.
