WATAUGA - Geneva Hill Elliott, 86, Watauga, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at the residence of her daughter.

A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Anderson & Bell Whitehead Hill. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Elliott was of the Baptist Faith. She loved gardening & working in her flowers. She also worked along with her husband in the operation of their family farm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Jack Elliott who passed away July 3, 2011, by a grandson, Charles Harrald, a brother, Anderson Hill, Jr. and two sisters: Mary Mundy and Phyllis Elliott

Survivors include her daughter: Joyce Harrald. Three Grandchildren: Mark Harrald, Tonia Harrald, and Ava Harrald. Three Great Grandchildren: Allie Harrald, Thomas Mathes and Cody Mathes.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2020 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Mark Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Hicks Cemetery (Ripshin Mountain). Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

Geneva married Jack Charles Elliott on 8 Sep 1951 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Jack (son of Frank Elliott and Linda Meriena Hopson) was born on 16 Mar 1923 in , Avery County, North Carolina, ; died on 3 Jul 2011 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Hicks Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee. ROAN MOUNTAIN - Charles Harlan Harrald, 45, Roan Mountain passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018.

Born July 3, 1973 in Banner Elk, NC he had lived most of his life in Roan Mountain. He was a graduate of Hampton High School. He was employed as an Auto Mechanic, at Fairway Ford, Kingsport. He was preceded in death by his father Tommy Harlan Harrald, August 28, 2013 and by his Maternal Grandfather: Jack Elliott.

Survivors include his wife: Connie Potter Harrald, Elizabethton His Mother: Joyce Elliott Harrald, Watauga, and His Brother: Mark Harrald, Watauga. Two Sisters: Ava Harrald, Watauga and Tonia Harrald, Elizabethton. His Maternal Grandmother: Geneva Elliott, Elizabethton. Three Nephews: Thomas Mathes, Cody Mathes and Jonathan Potter. Two Nieces: Allie Harrald and Christina Covington. Several cousins.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 in the Hicks Cemetery, Roan Mountain with the Rev. Steve Potter and Rev. Rufus Hurt officiating. Burial will follow the service. Active Pallbearers will be: Michael Harrald, Ava Harrald, Jimmy Scalf, Kevin Scalf, Thomas Mathes and Robert Mathes.
