    Notes:

    Vada P. Eggers, age 85, of Damascus, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000 in Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.
    Mrs. Eggers was born in Rock Creek, N.C., a daughter of the late James and Janie Roark Potter, and lived in Damascus most of her life.
    She was the widow of the Rev. I. Blaine Eggers and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Glade Spring. She was also preceded in death by three brothers.
    Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Lavone) Widener and Mrs. Bert (Brenda) Snodgrass, both of Damascus; two sisters, Ella Price of West Jefferson, N.C., and Mary Buchanan of Mountain City, Tenn.; three grandsons, Scottie Widener, Travis Dyson and Brent Dyson; one great-grandson, Tyler Widener; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Widener; granddaughter-in-law, Robin Widener; several nieces and nephews; sons-in-law, Dennis Widener and Bert Snodgrass.
    Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. in Pleasant View Baptist Church with Herman Widener, the Rev. Carl Wilson, the Rev. Tim Stevens and the Rev. Roger Boyer officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus.

    Nevada married Rev. Ivan Blaine Eggers about 1938. Ivan (son of Cartie Eggers and Lillie Bell Guy) was born on 10 Mar 1917 in , Watauga County, North Carolina, North Carolina; died on 20 Dec 1996 in Washington County, , , Virginia; was buried in Sunset Memorial Park, , Washington County, Virginia.
