    ERWIN - Lonnie Wayne Casey, age 67, of Erwin, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at Johnson City Medical Center.

    A native of Erwin, Lonnie is a son of the late Clarence and Francis Roselee (Hilton) Casey. Lonnie was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Arlington National Cemetery Honor Guard and an electrician. He was an avid shooter and enjoyed college football. In addition to his parents, Lonnie is preceded in death by his sister, Neda Helton.

    Lonnie Wayne Casey leaves behind to cherish his memory: Daughter: Heather Edwards; Son: Shaun Edwards; Granddaughters: Mariah Edwards, Haley Edwards; Grandson: Nehemiah Edwards; Several great-grandchildren; Sister: Saundra Davis; Special nieces: Casey Johnson and husband, Chris, Julie Silvers and husband, Bobby; Nephew: Daniel Davis.

    The family would like to offer special thanks the nursing staff of the ICU and the 2200 hall at Johnson City Medical Center for their care during this difficult time.

    The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Lonnie Wayne Casey in a graveside committal service with military honors to be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2019 in Mountain Home National Cemetery. A United States Army Chaplain will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the Unites States Army. Pallbearers will be notified.
