    JOHNSON CITY - Charlotte Marie Taylor, 91, of Johnson City, passed away early Sunday morning, November 24, 2019 at the Sycamore Springs Senior Living.

    She was a daughter of the late Hugh T. Holly and Gertrude Mae Woods Holly and was born in Watauga, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Wentworth Taylor; three half-brothers, Brown Holly, Scott Holly and Bruce Holly; three half-sisters, Lou Lowe, Nola Shell and Queen Ramsey; and two special nephews, Leon Holly and Don Lowe.

    Charlotte was a former member of Watauga Christian Church, Brick Christian Church, East River Park Christian Church and a current member of First Christian Church of Johnson City. When she attended Watauga Christian Church, she enjoyed singing in the ladies' ensemble.

    Charlotte attended Elizabethton High School and graduated from Mary Hughes High School in Piney Flats, TN. She always enjoyed going to the annual Mary Hughes High School Class Reunions. Charlotte had worked in retail and was a member of the Elizabethton Women's Club. Cooking and making her famous apple pies for neighbors and friends was one of her favorite activities. She also enjoyed singing, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, reading and traveling but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and friends.

    Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Wesley Alan Taylor and wife, Robin of Johnson City; John Mark Taylor and wife, Julie of Lebanon, TN; four grandchildren, Wesley Dawson Taylor of Johnson City; Mason Wesley Taylor of Fort Lewis, WA; Marshall Thomas Taylor of Knoxville and Marti Ellen Taylor of Johnson City; and a special niece Carolyn Holly of Johnson City.

    A service to celebrate the life of Charlotte Marie Taylor will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Monday, November 25, 2019 at Tetrick Funeral Services in Johnson City with Mr. John H. Smith, Mr. Donald Mushayamunda and Dr. Eddie Fine, ministers officiating. Music will be under the direction of Ray Don Markland. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM prior to the service in the chapel.

    The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Bob Kiser, Todd Isaacs, Bernie Gray, Dennis Henegar, Marshall Taylor, Rusty Mitchell and Price Cochran. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Dawson Taylor, Mason Wesley Taylor, Gordon Sutton, Ray Don Markland, Warren Fureman and Tom Arnett.
