    Myrtle Mae Masters, age 85, Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Christian Care Center. She was born in Mitchell, NC and was a daughter of the late Millard F and Emma Hughes Johnson. Myrtle was a technician at Texas Instruments for 17 years prior to retiring in 1988.She was a member of Chestoa Baptist Church and attended the Church of God. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Masters in 1990 and a brother; Arnold Gene Johnson.

    She leaves behind:

    Daughter: Nina Crain, husband Eddie, Erwin

    Two Sons: Danny Masters, wife Melissa, Erwin

    Tim Masters, Wife Faye, Unicoi

    Brother: Millard "Buddy" Johnson, Fall Branch

    Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, May 26, 2011 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Reverend John Edwards will officiate.

    Myrtle married Loyd Brenton Masters on 21 Nov 1948 in Unicoi County, , , Tennessee. Loyd (son of Alex Zander Masters and Rebecca Louise "Lou" Collins) was born on 11 May 1923 in Unicoi County, , , Tennessee; died on 13 Sep 1990 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Mountain Home National Cemetery, , Washington County, Tennessee.     ERWIN - Nina Dale Masters Crain, age 72, Erwin, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021, while she was surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong resident of Erwin and daughter of the late Loyd and Myrtle Johnson Masters.
    Nina was the Office Manager for her family business, Ends Electrical. She was of the Baptist Faith. Nina enjoyed cross stitch, puzzles, cooking and spending time with her family.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Danny and Tim Masters.
    She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-four years, Eddie Crain; her two sons: Dwayne Crain, Crossville, TN and Scott Crain (Marsha), Erwin; five grandchildren: Jensen Foster, Alli Crain, Britten Crain, Katie Balaicius and Caleb Crain; great granddaughter, Taetum Foster.
    Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Reverend Craig Shelton will officiate.
