Notes:

Ted R. Dugger, 71, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2008. He was a native of Carter County but lived most of his life in Washington County, TN. He was the son of the late Amanda and Roseman Dugger.

Mr. Dugger was a member of "Y" Freewill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country in Korea and Germany.

He was a very loving husband and father who loved his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joyce Dugger; one daughter, Sharon Dugger Hughes and husband Jamie of Johnson City; two sons, Keith Dugger and wife Terri of Jonesborough and Jeffrey Dugger of Johnson City; three grandchildren: Caleb and Colby Dugger and Joshua Dugger.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday at 8:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral Services with Rev. Glenn Hoilman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in Fairview Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Leroy Arrwood, Jerry Perry, Timmy Edwards, Lonnie Townsend, Earnest Trivette, Jr., and Donnie Bare. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Whiston, Gene Woodfin, Grady Norton, Jim Smith, Jimmy Bailey, Charles Henson and members of "Y" Freewill Baptist Church. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM to go in procession.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Janette and Rev. Glenn Hoilman for all their love and kindness. Also, thank you to all of his friends and family for their love and prayers.

Darrell McCoy Harmon passed away peacefully at his home in the Poga Community of Butler, Tenn., on June 19, 2023. Darrell was born in Unicoi, Tenn., on December 25, 1943 to the late Henry Coy Harmon and Lesta Ward. He was preceded in death by his parents and a special aunt and uncle, France and Macie Harmon; sister, Reba Ellen Brown and her spouse Paul; and sister, Edith Guy and her husband Frank. Darrell was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of Beech Mountain Missionary Baptist Church and attended faithfully with his beloved wife until his health prevented going. Darrell started in life as a farmer then became a factory worker, followed by driving a school bus and eventually became long haul trucker. He was raised with a strong faith in the Lord, that family meant everything and a tremendous work ethic. His favorite pastimes were fishing, reloading ammo and mechanical projects. His legacy is love of family and God, hard work and honesty and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Those left to cherish and remember Darrell are his beloved wife, Nancy Louise Harmon of the home; two sisters, Alma Harmon Carter of Elizabethton and Juanita Harmon Brown of Elizabethton; his brother, Henry Coy Harmon Jr.; his daughter, Vicky Maya Bobadilla and husband Adrian of the home; his son, Timothy Darrell Harmon and wife Michele of Elberta; four granddaughters, Heather Guy and husband Richie, Amber Maze of Deep Gap, Alexis Harmon of Elizabethton and Katrina Harmon of Elizabethton; two grandsons, David Mallard and wife Clara Beth of Elizabethton, and James Harmon of Elizabethton; a stegrandson, James Walker of Elberta; four great-granddaughters, Sierra Tester of Gray, Sarina Mallard of Deep Gap, Aurora Guy of Elizabethton and Brianna Mallard of Elizabethton; and one great-grandson, Levi Maze of Deep Gap. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors of the Poga Community also survive. Friends and family are invited to share memories and love with the family on Friday, June 23, between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. A celebration of Darrell’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 25, at Beech Mountain Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Burnap officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church. The graveside service will follow the reception in the Harmon Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

We are saddened to announce the passing of Danny Keith Dugger, age 55, on December 20, 2022. He was born February 25, 1967 to the late Howard Dugger and Celia Church Dugger.

Danny was a block mason for 35 years and was the owner of Dugger Masonry. He enjoyed working on his classic cars with his brother and riding 4 wheelers but loved spending time with his daughter, Danielle most of all.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Dugger; Sister-in-law, Faye Dugger and a nephew, Harold Junior Dugger.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Danielle; sisters, Joann Dugger and Irene Dugger; brothers, Harold Dugger, Steve Dugger (Nancy), Jerry Dugger, (Patty), Charles Dugger (Becky), Kevin Dugger (Felicia) and several nieces and nephews. His special friend, who was like a brother to him, Ray Potter also survives.
Funeral service for Danny will be Monday, January 2, 2023 at 1 p.m. In the Buford Lipford Chapel in Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Estep officiating. Visitation will be from 12 - 1 prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the Poga Cemetery at Piney Grove Pallbearers are Josh Dugger, Timothy Dugger, Ray Potter, Brad Eastridge, Steve Laws and Chris Laws.

JOHNSON CITY - Jeffery Lorne Dugger, 60, of Johnson City passed away at Johnson City Medical Center on July 6, 2022.

Jeffery was a lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was the son of the late Teddy and Joyce Dugger. He was a graduate of Science Hill High School. Jeffery proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Just like a Marine, he was loyal and faithful to his friends and family, who he loved dearly. He was always willing to do anything for his family or a stranger and never asked for anything in return. There are not enough words to describe what a wonderful person he was. He was employed at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center until his health required him to retire.

In addition to his parents Jeffery was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Pearl Mcinturff, Rosamond and Amanda Fields Dugger; brother-in-law James D. Hughes Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Joshua Dugger of South Carolina; sister, Sharon Dugger Hughes of Johnson City; brother Keith Dugger and wife Terri of Jonesborough; nephews, Caleb Dugger and wife Brittany of Jonesborough, Colby Dugger and wife Shelby Miller of Johnson City; his best friends and Marine Corps brother of 42 years, John and Lupe Estrada-Hemmett Calf; great-niece Abigail Hope Dugger of Jonesborough.

Jeffery’s family would like to give a special thanks to the Oncology Department at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center along with Kim Arrwood for the wonderful treatment. The family would also like to thank the ICU Department, 6400 and 2200 floors at the Johnson City Medical Center, for their wonderful care and kindness.

The Dugger family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm on Sunday July 10th at Tetrick Funeral Services, 3001 Peoples Street Johnson City, TN 37604, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm. A graveside service will be held afterward at Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery 878 SR-81 Jonesborough Tennessee 37659. Music director will be David Holtsclaw. Pastor Greg Salyer will be officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Dugger, Keith Dugger, Caleb Dugger, Colby Dugger, John Estrada and Bob Sams.
