BRISTOL, Tenn. Daisy Gouge Harrell, 96, went to be with the Lord at her home on November 10, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mitchell County, North Carolina, and was the daughter of Lilton and Bessie Gouge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Harrell; son, Norman Harrell; grandson, Chuck Harrell; siblings, Lawrence, Lucy, Thomas, Rosa, Fred, and her twin brother, Bill. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Harrell; brother, Harry Gouge; granddaughters, Debbie Wyatt (Todd), Suzi Hess (Terry), Alice Meadows (Mike), and Becky Carraway (Gary); great grandchildren, Colten and Bailey Hess, Max Wyatt, Anna, Marshall, and Alora Carraway; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services for Daisy Harrell will be conducted on Thursday, November 12, 2015, in the Mount Rose cemetery with the Rev. Elmer Cardwell, Jr. officiating.

Bill W. Gouge, age 87 of Hwy 226 Bakersville NC passed away October 15, 2007. He was the son of the late Lillington and Bessie Canipe Gouge and a native of Mitchell County, NC. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II, in the Pacific. He was a Member, Deacon, and Long Time Sunday School Teacher at Cub Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include; son, Royce Gouge and wife Debbie, of Clemmons, daughter, Karen Greene and husband Paul, of Bakersville, one sister, Daisey Harrell, of Virginia, brothers, Thomas Gouge, of Gray, TN, and Harry Gouge, of Johnson City, TN, three grandchildren, Mitzi Reed, and husband Bryan, Kevin Gouge, and wife Susan, and Nathan Greene, and wife Cindy, six Great Grandchildren, Haley McPeak, Garrett Greene, Pierce Greene, Anayla Weber, Aidan Reed, Lauren Gouge.
He was preceded in death by; wife, Beatrice Young Gouge, and daughter, Kathleen Garland.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18th at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Billy Stewart officiating, The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Malone Gouge Cemetery.

JOHNSON CITY - Harry L. Gouge, 96, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at The Waters of Johnson City.

Harry was born in Bakersville, NC to the late L.N. and Bessie Gouge.

Harry retired as the owner and operator of Harry Gouge Construction after 30 years. He was a member of Pine Crest Baptist Church in Johnson City. Harry loved golfing and working in his yard, until his health no longer allowed. Harry was also a fan of NASCAR. Harry will be remembered as a very loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by: his wife of 72 years, Vista Gouge; four brothers, Thomas, Bill, Lawrence and Fred Gouge; and three sisters, Lucy Davis, Rosa Marler and Daisy Harrell.

Survivors include: one daughter, Pat Livingston and her husband Mike, of Unicoi; one granddaughter, Lisa Powell and her husband Jay, of Birmingham, AL; one grandson, Jeff Burleson and his wife Debbie, of Alpharetta, GA; two great grandchildren, Sean and Sara Burleson, of Alpharetta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family of Harry Gouge will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 1:30 with Rev. Garry Edwards officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers include Sean and Sara Burleson. The committal service will be held at Roselawn Memory Gardens, in the mausoleum chapel, immediately following the funeral.
