    ELIZABETHTON - Floyd D. (Todd) Lowe, 82, Elizabethton went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at his residence.

    A native of Carter County he was a son of the late John & Mary Peters Lowe. Floyd was a 1954 graduate of Unaka High School. He served in the United States Air Force for three and one-half years. He retired from Raytheon Corporation in 1993 after 36 years of service. He was a member of Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church sense 1964, served on the Deacon Board and was Choir Director. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Ralph, Bill and Harold Lowe and one sister: Beatrice Lockner.

    Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Mary Ann Mercer Lowe. A daughter and son-in-law: Vivian Ruth & Daniel Wood, Piney Flats. One sister: Florence Belt, Welcome, North Carolina. One brother: Lloyd Lowe and wife Sue of Elizabethton. His special Honorary grandchildren: Cooper and Taylor Shanks and Sydney Markland. Several nieces & nephews. His Brother-In-Law: Robert Mercer & wife Liz, Mercer, Texas and sister-in-law: JoAnn & husband Phil McQueen.

    Graveside Service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday,, June 17, 2019 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Roger Hayley officiating. Interment will follow. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2:20 Monday will be: Mike Belt, Steve Lowe, Dale Colbaugh, Waymon Carrier, Tommy Verran, Boo Bishop, Phil McQueen and Doug Hardin. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Gale Colbaugh, Craig Lowe, Vaughn Taylor, Randal Lewis, James Carroll and Henry Grindstaff. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard.

    Lloyd Philip Lowe, 83, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at Hillview Health Center following an extended illness. He was born on June 23, 1939 to the late John and Mary Peters Lowe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers, sisters and nephews. Mr. Lowe was a 1957 graduate of Unaka High School. He attended Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church his entire life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Lloyd retired from Holston Ordinance & Eastman Chemical Company after 30 years of service. After his retirement, he worked as a courier for 10 years at Citizens Bank. Prior to his illness, Mr. Lowe enjoyed walking the trail at Sycamore Shoals and in later years watching sports on TV with his beloved grandson. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Sue Lowe; a daughter, Mary Lowe Harrell; a special grandson, Noah Evan Harrell; and a special great-niece, Jennifer Morrell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, cousins and friends. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Kenny Lethcoe officiating.
