    Jack A. Campbell age, 78 of Elizabethton passed away Friday, June 14, 2019, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City. He was the son of the late Earl and Dessie Loraine McNeil Campbell. In addition to his two parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother; Rev. Earl Campbell and three sisters; Bonnie Campbell, Christine Smith & Pauline Shaw.

    Mr. Campbell was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner and operator of Campbells' Folsom Printing Company, of Elizabethton, for over 30 years. He was also employed by the Elizabethton Star for 38 years where he worked in the advertising department. He attended Valley Forge Freewill Baptist Church. Jack was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid UT fan and had a passion for education. He served on the Elizabethton City School Board for 10 years and served on the Carter County Commission. He was also a member of the Cyclone Touchdown Club and a member of the Betsy Band Booster Club. He enjoyed gathering daily with his coffee club friends. He also loved being on Watauga Lake with his family and friends, riding jet skis, and he also enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter.

    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 54 years; Beatrice "Bea" Calhoun Campbell of the home, two sons; Jackie Campbell and wife Teresa of Elizabethton, Jason Campbell and wife Courtney of Elizabethton, sister; Martha Stout of North Carolina, six grandchildren; Morgan Noack and husband Bryan of Fort Worth, Texas, Alexandra Campbell of Elizabethton, Taylor Campbell of Elizabethton, Sophie Peterson of Elizabethton, Jonathan Glover of Johnson City and Allison Glover of Johnson City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

    A service to honor the life of Mr. Campbell will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home Elizabethton with Pastor Mark Potter officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and may visit at the home at any time.

    The graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Honorary Pallbearers will be Russell Kyte, Larry McKinney, Jimmy Street, Arvil McKinney, Jonathan Glover, Jackson Taylor, Jay Taylor, Thomas Gray, Terry Leonard, Bob Bice, Ronnie Ensor, Tim Campbell, Johnny Lovelace, Mike Taylor and Ron Smith.
