Amanda "Bea" Jones, age 81, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010.
She was born on February, 25, 1929 in Mountain City, TN to the late Thomas Eastridge and Delta (Rupert) Eastridge. She worked at Oxford Manufacturing Co. for almost 20 years and then for Herr's Potato Chip Factory for approximately 18 years. Amanda enjoyed gardening, bowling, watching T.V. and had a special love for dogs.

She is survived by her son, Robert "Larry" Jones of Rising Sun, MD; her sister, Bessie Jenkins of Mountain City, TN; brother, John F. Eastridge of Mountain City, TN; grand children, Christopher Jones and Kimberly Jones; and great grand children, Ryan Jones and Jamie Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Earl Jones.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will follow at Rosebank Cemetery in Rising Sun, MD.

Bessie Lee Jenkins, age 81, of Mountain City, TN passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Mountain City Care Center. Bessie was born on June 5, 1938, being one of triplets born in Johnson County to the late Thomas F. and Deldia Dora Rupard Eastridge of Laurel Bloomery, TN. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Jenkins; son, Robert Stanley; sisters, Martha Mae Riddle, Beatrice “Bea” Jones; triplet brothers, Ted and John Eastridge.

Bessie loved her boys and was so proud of them. Bessie had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and working in her beautiful flower gardens. She enjoyed sharing her vegetables and flowers with friends and neighbors. Bessie worked for over 20 years at the Johnson County Hospital in the food service department.

Those left to cherish her memories include three sons, Jerry Stanley (Perriann), Steve Stanley (Kim), Tony Stanley (Charmin); grandchildren, Leslie Forrester (Shawn), Tanieka Halberg (Ari), Ashley James (Eric), Katie Stanley, Kayla Stanley, Jessica Jupin (Chris), Patricia Faye Baker (Derek), Justin Stanley; great grandchildren, Katie and Sophia Tidwell, Jacob and Lee Ann Halberg, Hannah Sharp, Peyton James, Skyler Jupin, Zyra, Zoe, and Zola Baker and several nephews.

The family received friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Mountain City Funeral Home with a service following at 7:00 p.m. with Minister Buddy Morefield officiating. Special music was provided by Bessie’s nephew, Mike Eastridge. A graveside service and entombment were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dean Tester, Justin Stanley, Derek Baker, Shawn Forrester, Ari Halberg and Eric James.

Hazel Victoria Roark, 69, of Jonben died April 17, 1997 in a Beckley Hospital after a long illness.

She was a native of Mountain City, Tenn., a homemaker and a Methodist.

Surviving; sons, Everette L. of Mabscott, Dennis R, of Odd, Jonathan E., of Jonben, Joseph W. of Whitby; daughters Linda Burns of Whitby, Carol Agee, Diana Lawson and Becky Lylton all of Coal City, Nancy Sears of Jonben; brothers Charles Greer of Germany, WAyne Greer of Pennnsylvania, John "Buddy", Dale and Ronnie Greer all of Tennessee; 26 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.

Service will be 8 p.m. Sunday at the Blur Ridge Funeral Home, Prosperity, with the Rev. Dale Mills officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Hazel married Everett Delmar Roark about 1944 in Raleigh County, , , West Virginia. Everett was born on 22 Nov 1924 in Raleigh County, , , West Virginia; died on 5 May 1981 in Raleigh County, , , West Virginia; was buried in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, , Raleigh County, West Virginia. Richard Dale Greer, age 73, of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 at his residence, surrounded by family.

He was born on April 20, 1939 to the late James Lester Greer and Etta Villar Eastridge Greer.

Dale worked at Bristol Door and Lumber for 17 years and retired from Harris -Tarkett Hardwood Flooring following 25 years of service. He loved to stay busy and tinker on things, but he really enjoyed working on small engines.

He was a member of the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge F & AM #243.

Dale is survived by his nephew, who was like a son, Jamie Grayson; sisters: Drema Richardson and husband Glen and Martha Collins, all of Mountain City, TN; brothers: John Greer and wife Pauline, Ronald Greer, all of Mountain City, TN and Wayne Greer and wife Ida of Norristown, PA; special niece, Amy Grayson; special brother-in-law, James Gentry; several more nieces and nephews and many special friends.

The family received friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Billy Morefield officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers were members of the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge.

Martha Collins, age 74, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born on November 20, 1944 to the late James L. Greer and Etta Eastridge Greer. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband Bill Collins, sisters, Irene Roark, Hazel Roark, Myrtle Murphy and Nancy Greer Wilson; brothers, Virgil Greer, Charles Greer, Richard Dale Greer, Ronald D. Greer; and two infant brothers.

Martha loved word search puzzles, enjoyed gospel music and TV programs. She loved being with family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, Kevin Collins and Gary Collins; sister and brother-in-law, Drema and husband Glen Richardson, brothers and sisters-in-law, John Greer and wife Pauline and Wayne Greer; brother-in-law, Clay Wilson; special friend, Mary Lipford; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Billy Morefield officiating. Special music will be provided by Sandy Roberts. Graveside service and interment will follow at the Eastridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
