    Ruby Walters, age 77, of Mountain City, TN, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born on April 17, 1941 to the late John Church and Rosa Dyer Church. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by two husbands Richard Biggie and Jerry Walters, daughter, Leona McLean Hazard, son, Jeffery Scott McLean, brothers, Tommy Church and Perry Church, brother-in-law, Norman Thomas.

    Ruby loved her garden and watching her soaps especially The Young &The Restless and The Bold & Beautiful. She retired from Motorola in Arizona. Ruby loved taking care of her pets.

    Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Johnny Ray McLean of the home, daughters, Sandra Henderson and husband George of Mountain City, TN and Jackie McLean of Arizona, sisters, Kathy Lettieri and husband Mario of Chicago, IL and Shela Thomas of Trade, TN, brothers, Johnny Church and wife Dorothy of Vilas, NC and Freddie Church of Lenior, NC, sister-in-law, Peggy Church of Vilas, NC, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, special niece Linda Beauseleh and husband John.

    Tommy Earl Church, 65, of Vilas, N.C., passed away Nov. 11, 2008 in Johnson City Medical Center. He was born Feb. 19, 1943 in Watauga County.

    He was a carpenter. He liked farming, cattle and putting up hay. He loved his family, and especially his grandchildren.

    Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Peggy Kimberlin Church; daughters, Kimberly Aldridge and husband, Eddie, and Jennifer Greer and husband, Eric, both of Boone; son, Jeff Church of Vilas; grandchildren, Jacob Greer, Hunter Greer and Ethan Aldridge; sisters, Kathy Lettieri and husband, Mario, of Schaumburg, Ill., Ruby Walters of Mountain City, Tenn.; and Sheila Thomas and husband, Norman, of Trade, Tenn.; brothers, Johnny Church and wife, Dorothy, of Vilas and Freddie Church of Mountain City; sister-in-law, Eleanor Church and husband, Robert, of Zionville; brother-in-law, James Kimberlin and wife, Jeanette, of Jarratt, Va.; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Rebecca Jane Church, a brother, Perry Jack Church and an infant brother, James McDonald Church.

    Services were conducted Mountain City Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Cornette and Bro. Jack Bradley officiating. Interment in the Bradley Cemetery.

    Pallbearers were Phil Presnell, James Henson, Jerry Stanbery, Kenneth Church, Junior Potter, Jerry Wayne Houck, Kenny Greer and Eric Clifton. Honorary pallbearers were Russell Beach, Beach Eggers, Perry Adams, Perry Adams, Jr. and Richard Cox.
