    Mrs. Annie M. Arnold, 32, of Doeville, route 1, died at 5:30 a.m. in Appalachian Hospital.
    Survivors are the husband, Eugene Arnold; eight children, Sylvia, Pearle, Frances, Genieve, Vella Mae, Dallas Beal, Bobby Gene, and an infant son; mother, Mrs. Laura Campbell of Carderview; four brothers, Ernest Campbell of Kingsport, Roscoe Campbell with the U.S. Army in Japan; Joe Campbell of Johnson City, and Sankler Campbell of Carderview.
    The body was taken to the home of the mother in Carderview, where the funeral was at 2:30 Sunday, June 26. Burial was in the Campbell Cemetery.

    Frances Lee Richardson, 69, 2100 E Watauga Ave., died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

    Mrs. Richardson was a native of Butler, TN, and had lived most of her life in Johnson City.

    She was a daughter of the late Eugene and Annie Campbell Arnold and was also preceded in death by her second mother, Winnie Arnold, one sister, Sylvia Miller and five brothers, Dallas, James, and Bobby Eugene Arnold and Fred and Bill McFall.

    Mrs. Richardson retired from Appalachian Christian Village.

    She was of the Pentecostal Faith and attended Faith Community Church.

    Survivors include her husband, Paul J. Richardson; four daughters, Sandra Crain and her husband, Gary, Johnson City, Pam Crain and her husband, Chester, Saltville, VA, Debbie Davis and her husband, Charlie, Gray and Christy Buck and her husband, Daniel, Johnson City; one son, Mark Cable and Abby, Johnson City; grandchildren, Eric and Danielle Crain, Joey and Whitney Coleman, Christine Davis, Michael and Jordan Austin, Brittany Buck, Destiny, Brittany, Zachary and Jocelyn Cable; one great grandchild, Gage Coleman; three sisters, Pearl Atwood, Butler, Kate Eldreth, Mountain City and Vella Ward and her husband, John, Johnson City; three brothers, Jerry and Ronnie McFall both of Johnson City and Roy Wagner and wife, Butler, and several nieces and nephews.

    A funeral service for Mrs. Richardson will be conducted at 2:30 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2008, from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Pastor Lester Guinn will officiate. Burial and graveside services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.

    The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

    Active pallbearers will be Mark Cable, Gary Crain, Jeff Sweeney, Daniel Buck, Charlie Davis and Chester Crain. Carl Miller, Randy Miller and Wayne Blevins are honorary pallbearers.

    Vella Ward, 77, of Carter County, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Vella was born in Johnson County, Tenn., to the late Eugene and Annie Campbell Arnold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Winnie Ruth Arnold; her husband of 33 years, John Henry Ward, in March 2019; a daughter, Betty Ann Hughes; her brothers, Bobby Gene Arnold, Dallas Arnold and James Arnold; two sisters, Sylvia Miller and Frances Richardson; and four step-brothers, Jerry McFall, Ronnie McFall, Bill McFall and Fred McFall.
    Vella was a wise, selfless, loving, caring, kind, insightful and faithful woman of God and she was never afraid or avoided hard work. She was a faithful member of Southside Free Will Baptist Church and she retired from Baxter International after nearly 30 years of dedicated service. Vella enjoyed gardening in her flowers, journaling, going to church and praising the Lord. Most of all she loved and enjoyed taking care of her family and loved ones.
    Those left to cherish her wonderful memories include her step-children, Karen Marie Ingram, Donna Kay Ward and Terry Lynn Ward and his wife Sheila; her grandchildren, Bridget Renee Neff (Wayne Gordon Whitehead III), Whitney Ingram and Brandon Ingram; two sisters, Geneva Kate Eldrith and Hattie Pearl Atwood; and a step-brother, JR Wagner ("Tude"). Several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren also survive.
    A service to celebrate the life of Vella Ward will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 29, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Jeremy Burleson officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service, or at the home at other times. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Vella Ward will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, December 30, at Washington County Memory Gardens.

    Vella married John Wardell about 1960. John was born on 20 Dec 1930 in , Carter County, Tennessee, ; died on 22 Mar 2019 in , Washington County, Virginia, ; was buried in Washington County Memory Gardens, Washington County, Tennessee, . [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
