Cliner A. Tester, 71 of 1007 Clinchfield St. died Saturday in Johnson City Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Mr. Tester was a native of Johnson County and was the son of the late Andrew and Rebecca Jackson Tester. He was employed by Clinchfield Railroad for 25 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Westview Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Ford Tester; two sons, Floyd of Indianapolis, Ind., and Bobby of Johnson City, Tenn., two daughter, Mrs. Paul Smith of Johnson City and Mrs. Harold Foster of Jonesboro.

Cliner married Myrtle Laura Ford about 1922 in Washington County, , , Tennessee. Myrtle was born on 24 Feb 1906 in Washington County, , , Tennessee; died on 17 May 1993 in Unicoi County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Snow's Chapel, Knob Creek Road, Washington County, Tennessee. Bobby Dayton Tester, 53, of 1007 Clinchfield, St., died Monday, April 9, 1990 in Johnson City Memorial Hospital.

He was a son of Myrtle Ford Tester of Johnson City and the late Cliner A. Tester.

Mr. Tester was employed as a cook at Peerless Steakhouse and also worked at Tennessee Motors.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Ellen Tester of Johnson City, Three sons- Bobby and Randy Tester also of Johnson City and Steve Tester of Erwin; two daughter, Cathy Cooper of Unicoi and Kim Carroll of Johnson City; one brother, Floyd Tester of Cleveland and two sister, Louise Amitha nd Mary Sue Miller, both of Johnson City, Tennessee. *Source=- The Johnson City Press, April 10, 1990, Page 2

Burial was in Monte Vista Burial Park; pallbearers were Carlyle Love, Tony Love, Bobby Willi, Larry Osborne, Earl Cooper and David Kelly.

JONESBOROUGH - Mary Sue Miller, 82, Jonesborough passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 in the Center on Aging in Erwin. She was a native of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Cliner and Myrtle Ford Tester. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and was a member of the Keystone Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold J. Foster and her second husband, Bill Miller; also several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her two sons, Harold Foster Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Gate City, Virginia and Michael L. Foster of Jonesborough; his grandchildren, Michael T. Foster and wife, Melissa of Jonesborough, Harold Jack Foster and wife, Misty of Knoxville, Nathan Foster of Jonesborough and Brett Foster of Elizabethton; several great-grandchildren including, Deanna, Colton and Rosa Foster; sister-in-law, Edith Foster; niece, Vikki Foster Bryant; nephew, Darrell Foster.

Visitation for Mrs. Miller will be conducted from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Cherokee Independent Freewill Baptist Church, Spice Hollow Road, Johnson City. Inurnment will follow at 4:00 PM in Snow Memorial Church Cemetery, Knob Creek Road.
