Rondall H. Heaton, Sr., 82, Watauga passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at his home.
A native of Carter County, Rondall was the son of the late Samuel and Lucy Heaton. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. Mr. Heaton proudly served his country in the United Stated Army. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and eating.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Heaton and Stu Heaton and two sisters, Wanda Hinkle and Nina Vest.
The family extends a special thank you to Johnson City Medical Center Hospice for the loving care given to Rondall.
The family requests the honor of your presence for a Graveside Service for Mr. Heaton on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 2:30 PM at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home. Pastor Dan Case will conduct the service. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:20 PM. Active pallbearers will be Rondall H. Heaton Jr., William Brian Heaton, Christopher J. Heaton, Ivan L. Pickle Jr, Wendy Dooley and John Dooley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Michael Grosserade, Greg Dooley and Jackie Vest.
