    Nola June Yelton Hyder, 82, 527 Dru Lane, Johnson City, died Monday, June 18, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center.
    Mrs. Hyder was a native of Elk Park, N.C., a former resident of Roan Mountain and had lived in Johnson City for the past 55 years. She was a daughter of the late Asbury and Pearl June Yelton and was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Hyder, and a sister.
    Mrs. Hyder was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church.
    Survivors include three sons, Carl Hyder, Johnson City, Glen Yelton, Elizabethton, and Jimmy Yelton, Johnson City; four daughters, Marrian Smith, Brenda York, Barbara Goodwin and Jewel Richardson, all of Johnson City; and two sisters, Geneva Yelton and Marcetta Ellison, both of Roan Mountain. Thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

    HYDER -- Funeral services for Nola June Yelton Hyder, 82, 527 Dru Lane, Johnson City, who died Monday, June 18, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, from the Morris-Baker South Chapel with the Rev. Orville Stokes and Dr. Michael Oakes officiating. Interment will follow graveside services at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. and proceed to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence and at Jim's Market and Deli, 1200 East Lakeview Drive, Johnson City.     Nola married Albert M. Hyder about 1944. Albert (son of Oscar Alfred Hyder and Elizabeth Jane Dugger) was born about 1922 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died about 1994 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, , Washington County, Tennessee.     JOHNSON CITY - Barbara Ruth Goodwin, 65, of Johnson City, went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 14, 2019 at NHC Healthcare of Johnson City.

    She was born in Elizabethton, a daughter of the late Albert and Nola Yelton Hyder.

    Barbara was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church, where she was a preschool teacher in the Livewire Children's Ministry for over nine years. She was a devout Christian and was part of the Explorer Bible Study group for over 30 years.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne Goodwin; and three sisters, Brenda York, Marrian Smith, and Jewel Richardson.

    She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Goodwin; a stepdaughter, Patsy Hayes; a stepdaughter, Lois Brady and her husband, Ron; a stepdaughter, Donna Mitchell and her husband, Fred; a stepson, Gary Goodwin; a brother, Carl Hyder and his wife Donna; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

    The Goodwin family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2019, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel and will be officiated by Dr. Michael Oaks. The committal service will be held at 3:00 pm at Rittertown Baptist Church cemetery in Hampton, TN. Family and friends are requested to gather at the cemetery at 2:50 pm.
