Ralph Wiseman, age 88, of Bob Taylor Road in Newland died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Brian Center Health and Rehab in Spruce Pine.

Born on January 16, 1925 in Avery County, he was the son of the late Jesse and Sadie Aldridge Wiseman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel W. Wiseman who passed away in 2011. He was also preceded in death by his brothers; Joe, Buck, and Mack Wiseman and his sisters; Isabelle Ballew and Susie Wiseman.
Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Wiseman will be conducted on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Walnut Grove Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Kurt Bomar officiating. Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Ralph married Mabel Irene Woody about 1945 in , Avery County, North Carolina, . Mabel (daughter of Greene Woody and Roberta Matilda Wiseman) was born on 3 Jan 1923 in , Avery County, North Carolina, ; died on 26 Jan 2011 in , Avery County, North Carolina, ; was buried in Walnut Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery, , Avery County, North Carolina.
