    Martin B. Bennett, 88, of Hampton, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Hermitage Health Center following an extended illness.
    A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Malley and Lillie Arnett Bennett.
    Mr. Bennett served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was co-owner of Hampton Auto Parts and a member of Union Baptist Church.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lynn Bennett; five brothers, Barney, Grant, Darius, Claude and Clinton Bennett; and one sister, Jane Ward.
    Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Ruby Hicks Bennett; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Terry Banner, Hampton; one grandson, Isaac Banner; one sister, Myrtle Rhudy, Sulphur Springs; and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jane Bennett and Wanda Bennett, Elizabethton, Carrie Keene, Oak Ridge, Edna and Edward Thomas, Ruth and Richard Barrie, all of Elizabethton, E.C. Vines of Ohio and J.D. Cook, Roan Mountain. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    Funeral services for Martin B. Bennett will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. James Strickland and the Rev. Wesley Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Ranshaw officiating. Active pallbearers will be David Bennett, Mickey Bennett, Ricky Whitehead, Kenneth Thomas, Dale Cook, Teddy Hardin, Terry Banner and Allen Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be former employees of Hampton Auto Parts and his church family. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, the staff of Sycamore Springs Living Center and the staff of Hermitage Health Center.

    JONESBOROUGH - Mrs. Myrtle Bennett Whitehead Rhudy, 89, of Jonesborough, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. The daughter of the late Malley and Lillie Arnett Bennett, Myrtle was born on February 15, 1932.

    Myrtle was a dedicated, strong mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. She loved to read, cook, do jigsaw puzzles, and travel when she was able. She loved her family and welcomed anyone to her home to enjoy her amazing cooking.

    She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Don Whitehead in 1980 and second husband, John Rhudy in 2012, brothers, Barney, Darius, Johnnie Claude, Grant, Martin and Clinton Bennett, sister, Jane Ward, sisters-in-law, Helen, Mary and Jane Bennett, brother-in-law, Glen Ward, and daughter-in-law, Jolene Whitehead.

    Myrtle is survived by her children, Joyce Powers (Charlie) of Piney Flats, Tennessee, Joel Whitehead of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Debbie Platz (Greg) of Batavia, Ohio, Rick Whitehead of Jonesborough, Tennessee, and Gayle Rhudy (Margaret) of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Grandchildren, Elizabeth Powers, Chuck Whitehead, Chris Whitehead (Melissa), Eric Whitehead, Jennifer Wagner (Tom), Ben Hughes (Christy), Ryan Hughes (Karylanne), great-grandchildren, Mason and Sadie Whitehead; Tommy, Sarah and Jacob Wagner; Cameron Hughes; Brennan and Alayna Hughes, sister in laws, Ruby and Wanda Bennett, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Kathy Johnson, Margaret Rhudy, Linda Church, Lula Gray, Mary Nell Webb, Eckie Platz, Brenda Hubbard, and mom’s fur-baby, her cat, T.J.

    The family would like to thank Mom’s neighbors for all their care and support through the years; Brian and Joy Horton, Nancy Tester, Joann Ford, and Jim Rogers. We would especially want to thank Caris Healthcare for all their loving care for our Mom. Ketcha, Amanda, Michael, Amy, Justin, Hannah, Nate, Diana, and Kamela, you are all Angels.

    Visitation for Myrtle will be held at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home on Saturday, April 24, 2021, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. The graveside service will follow at 3:30 PM at East Tennessee Cemetery in Blountville, TN. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

    Pastor Charles “Toonie” Cash will be officiating.

    Clinton Bennett, 75, of the Blue Springs Community of Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, from Sycamore Shoals Hospital after a valiant battle with leukemia. He was the son of the late Malley and Lillie Arnett Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Grant Bennett, Darius Bennett, Claude Bennett and Barney Bennett Mr. Bennett was a former employee of Raytheon Corporation and of North American Rayon Corporation with thirty four years of service, before retiring from the Abrasive Technology Company in Watauga. He was a member of Blue Springs Christian Church and loved fishing, woodworking, building things with his hands, and he loved his granddaughter. Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Wanda R. Oliver Bennett, of the home; two daughters, Paula Dillon and husband, Robert Jr., and Susan "Sue Sue" Williams and husband, Jeff, both of Elizabethton; one son, Mickey Bennett and wife, Sandra, Elizabethton; one very special granddaughter, Bethany Williams, Elizabethton; one brother, Martin Bennett and wife, Ruby, Hampton; two sisters, Myrtle Rudy, Sulphur Springs, and Jane Ward, Jonesborough; four sisters-in-law, Jane Bennett, Elizabethton, Nadine Ward, JoAnn Ward and Lois Vines, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mr. Bennett will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2013, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Richard Thomason, Minister, officiating. A eulogy will be provided by his son, Mickey Bennett. Music will be under the direction of Donna Ellis. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Saturday, or at the residence at anytime. The graveside service will follow in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery in the Blue Springs Community. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Williams, Wendell Williams, Steve Franklin, Mack Collins, Gayle Oliver and Grant Hardin.     JOHNSON CITY - Farrell Bennett, 76, Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at his residence, following a brief illness.

    Farrell was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City.

    He was a son of the late Harrison and Georgia Pearl Arnett Bennett.

    Farrell was a 1959 graduate of Lamar High School, and later received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1975, and a Master's Degree in Accounting in 1979, both from Steed College.

    He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving four years in Anchorage, Alaska, then two years in the Air Force Reserves.

    Farrell was employed with Holston Army Ammunition Plant, retiring after thirty-two years of service, then returned for five years after Holston Army Ammunition Plant became BAE Systems, "re-retiring" in 2007.

    He was a longtime member of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendant and teacher, and was the assistant van driver.

    Farrell loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf, putt-putt, spending time in the mountains, and served as an usher for the University of Tennessee at home football games for the past nineteen years.

    In addition to his parents, Farrell was preceded in death by five brothers, Elmer, Roy, Henry, Richard and Clyde Bennett, two sisters, Sara Humphreys and Ann Barnett.

    He is survived by his wife of more than fifty-one years, Brenda Barber Bennett; two sons, Hershel Farrell Bennett and wife Gabrielle, Alpharetta, GA, and Anthony Lynn Bennett and wife Liz, Kingsport; five grandchildren, Bronwyn, Kensley and Braeden Bennett, Alpharetta, Evie Kate and Brendan Bennett, Kingsport; four brothers, John and Mickey Bennett, Oregon, Ray Bennett, R.C. Bennett and wife Brenda, all of Johnson City; three sisters, Dorothy Ledbury,

    Oregon, Frances Campbell, Watauga, and Nita Rice, St. Simons Island, GA; many, many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    The family would like to thank Brooks Monroe and Avalon Hospice, for their excellent care of Mr. Bennett.

    The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 7:00 P.M., at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Crowe, Rev. Byrl Fann and Rev. Howard Ray, officiating. Farrell's son, Hershel Farrell Bennett, will Eulogize his father. Special music will be provided by the church trio and The Quillen Family.

    The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00-7:00 P.M., in the Sanctuary of the church.

    The graveside committal service will be held Thursday at 10:00 A.M., in Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Bristol V.F.W. Post #6975 and members of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 39, Bristol. Nephews and cousins will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Hoare, Hershel Buchanan, the Men of Piney Grove F.W.B. Church, his golf, putt-putt and U.T. football buddies.

    ELIZABETHTON - Eula Mae Hodge, age 91, of Elizabethton, TN went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Ivy Hall Nursing Home. She was born to the late James Monroe “Poga” Potter and Sarah Catherine Hopson. Mae was the Administrative Assistant for Laws-Troutman Insurance Company where she later retired. She was active with a group of ladies that would go to the Carter County Jail weekly and have devotions with the female inmates. Mae loved to sew, cook, and take care of others. She was a member of First Christian Church, Elizabethton.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lestol M. “Sid” Hodge and brother, James M. “Bud” Potter. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Teresa Densford and husband Orris, of Elizabethton; two sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Oaks and Leota Holsclaw, both of Elizabethton; a granddaughter, Anna Marie Densford, of Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews also survive.

    A graveside service to honor the life of Eula Mae Hodge will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Michael Klaus and Mr. Brock Harrison, Ministers officiating. Active pallbearers are Randy Brockley, Isaac Carson, Adam Greenlee, Michael Greenlee, Noah Holsclaw, Chris Mosely, Efren Rosario, David Shields and David Trivette. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men of First Christian Church, Elizabethton.

    ELIZABETHTON - Leota Holsclaw, age 83, of Elizabethton, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Ivy Hall Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late, James “Poga” Monroe Potter and Sarah Catherine Hopson Potter. Leota retired as a Medical Secretary for Dr. Eugene Galloway. She was a member of Elizabethton Church of Christ and Graduate of Elizabethton High School. She enjoyed going to Elizabethton ballgames, traveling, entertaining, cooking and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
    In addition to her parents, Leota was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Willie Holsclaw; brother, Bud Potter; sister, Eula Mae Hodge and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in law. Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Eddie Holsclaw and wife Amber and Jeff Holsclaw and wife Vanessa, all of Elizabethton; three granddaughters, Jessica Trivette and husband David, Summer Mosley and husband Christopher, Katie Rosario and husband Danny; two grandsons, Noah Holsclaw and Josh Reifert and wife Melissa; eleven great- grandchildren, Halle, Luke, Levi, Miles, Callie, Millie, Stella, Willa Mae, Selah, Nala and Jade; sister, Dorothy “Dot” Oaks, of Elizabethton; two special nieces, Teresa Densford and husband Oris, Nancy Greenlee and husband Jim; special great-niece, Anna Marie Densford and several nieces and nephews also survive.
    A funeral service to honor the life of Leota Holsclaw will be conducted at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Elizabethton Church of Christ with Mr. Roby Ellis, Minister and Mr. Eddy Craft, Minister officiating. Music will be held by Elizabethton Church of Christ Congregation. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. prior to the funeral service on Thursday at the church.
    The graveside service and committal will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Todd Houston, minister officiating.
