    Emma Mae Hammons was born on 9/20/1907 in Johnson Co., TN. Her parents were William M. "Bill" Hammons and Sarah Elizabeth Forrester. She married Mack McKinley Hall on 7/27/1924. She died on 12/27/1990 in Johnson Co. Her obituary from The Tomahawk appeared as below:

    Emma Mae Hall, 83, Route 4, Mountain City, died Thursday at her residence December 27, 1990 following an extended illness. She was a native of Johnson County and a daughter of the late William and Sarah Forrester Hammons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Hall, who died in 1957 and also two sons, Charles Hall and Ervil Hall and four daughters, Susan Hall, India Hall, Phyllis Woods, and Ella Mae Church. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.
    Survivors include three sons, Harley Hall and Estel Hall, both of Mountain City; Boyd Hall, Greensboro, North Carolina; four daughters, Lenetha Bumgardner, Ruby Price, Wanda Martin and Jaunita Jennings, all of Mountain City; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Percy-Hux Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Stout officiating.
    Burial followed in the Hammons Cemetery.

    Ruby L. Price, age 83, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday evening, September 7, 2018 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born on October 2, 1934 in Shouns, TN, Johnson County to the late Mack Hall and Emma Mae Hammons Hall. In addition to her parents Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Price, sisters, Susan Hall, India Hall, Phyllis Woods, Ella Mae Church, Wauntia Jennings, Lenitha Bumgardner and Wanda Martin, brothers, Charles Hall, Ervil Hall, Harley Hall and Estel Hall.

    Ruby was a loving Mother and grandmother. She was a friend to many and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Ruby had a deep faith in Jesus and lived her life for him. She enjoyed her flowers and being with her animals, raising chickens, rabbits and various other animals.

    Ruby was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Ruby is survived by two sons, Jerold Price and wife Kathy and Ricky Price, one brother, Boyd Hall, grandchildren, Dustin Price and wife Andrea, Amanda Potter and husband Dwayne, Carrie Reece and husband Billy, great grandchildren; Waylon Price, Madison, Mason and McKeena Potter, several nieces, nephews and cousins, special great nieces, Natasha and Tamara, special friends, Ginger Greer, Jean Potter, Faye Hall, Nacho and Pome.

    The family will receive friends, Monday September 10, 2018 from 6- 8:00 p.m. at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Tony Potter to officiate, music by Tony and Cheri Potter and Jim Patrick and Hannah Russell. Graveside service and burial will be Tuesday September 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Cody Osborne, Chad Guinn, Rob Stout, Mark Arnold, Chris Pierce and Jesse Pena. Honorary pallbearers are, Earl Patrick, Tony Greer, Sonny Gambill and Larry Grindstaff.

    Sandra Darlene Church Patrick, age 68 of Creston, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Watauga Medical Center. She was born on March 15, 1951 in Neva Community, Johnson County, TN to the late John William Church and Ella Mae Hall Church. In addition to her parents Sandra was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Ann Reece.

    She enjoyed crafts, sewing, bird watching, yard sales and especially gardening.

    Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 51 years, James Earl Patrick, sons, Bill Patrick and Scott Patrick and wife Wendy, grandchildren, Donovan, Dalton, Alex and Isaac Patrick, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

    Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery (located on Little Laurel Road, Creston, NC) with Pastor Wade Huntsinger to officiate. Pallbearers will be Donovan Patrick, Dalton Patrick, Alex Patrick, Isaac Patrick, Chris Williams and Rick Williams.
