Elsie Harper Jenkins, 89, of Roanoke, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Rose Shoupe Harper; and her husband, Dallas R. Jenkins. She was a member of Green Hill Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her sons & daughters-in-law, Paul E. & Brenda W. Jenkins, of Salem, Gene D. & Linda Jenkins, of Roanoke, Robert L. & Doris Jenkins, of Bedford, and Lonnie W. & Linda Jenkins, of Salem; seven grandchildren, Kimberley Campbell & husband, Bryan, Jeff Jenkins & wife, Jennifer, Jason Jenkins, Angela Jenkins, Stacy Moody & husband, Robert, Kevin Jenkins, and Travis Jenkins; greatgrandchildren, Natalie and Olivia Campbell, and Jarrett Jenkins; sisters, Virginia Morefield and Helen Harper; brother, James Harper, all of Mountain City, TN; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Green Hill Church of the Brethren, 2699 Harborwood Road, Salem, VA 24153. Funeral Services will be conducted 1 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Shawn Tanner. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park
