    Richard H. Hardin, 85, Elizabethton, passed away, Friday, May 26, 2017 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Hubert J. & Delia Campbell Hardin. He retired from North American Rayon Corporation after 29 years of service. He was a Bus Driver for the Carter County School System for 15 years. Richard was an avid Unaka Ranger Fan and also UT Sports fan. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lois J. Hardin, June 19, 2015 and by a son Richard Leslie "Ricky" Hardin.
    Survivors include his children: Pamela Wilson and husband Daryl, and Jonathan Hardin, both of Elizabethton. Four Grandchildren: Beth Wilson Tester and husband Paul, Sarah Wilson Oaks and husband Ryan, Amanda Wilson Neas and fiancé Joe Harville and legend Hardin. Seven Great Grandchildren: Lucien, Kagan, Raelyn, Nathaniel, Nicole, Hannah & Leslie and his 14 year old dachshund Scoop.
    Funeral Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 in the Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Greer, Rev. Steve Burleson and Rev. Charlie Trivette officiating. Interment will follow in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery. Music will be provided by Ted Puckett and the Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church Choir. Active Pallbearers will be: Dale Johnson, Rick Williams, Eddie Williams, Doug Echols, Ronnie Blevins and Ryan Blevins. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bob & Carla Cox, Walter & Frieda William, Mike "Acey" Ensor, Paul "Bo" Gouge, Doug Buckles, the Coaching Staff of Unaka High School, former coaches: Ronnie Hicks, James Clyde Lyons, Larry Bowling and Mickey "Dude" Taylor, employees of the Carter County Highway Department, School bus drivers and school bus garage employees.

    Richard married Lois Juanita Peters on 21 Jan 1950 in Carter County, , , Tennessee.     Pamela Jane Wilson, 62, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at her residence.
    A native of Elizabethton, she was a daughter of the late Richard H. and Lois Juanita Peters Hardin and was born on February 9, 1956. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Leslie Hardin.
    Pamela was a 1974 graduate of Unaka High School and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, playing the piano and making jewelry; but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
    Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 41 years, Daryl Wilson, of the home; three daughters, Beth Tester and husband Paul, Sarah Oaks and husband Ryan and Amanda Harville and husband Joe, all of Elizabethton; seven grandchildren, Lucien Tester, Kagan Tester, Raelyn Tester, Nathaniel Oaks, Nicole Oaks, Hannah Carr and Leslie Harville, all of Elizabethton; one brother, Jonathan Hardin of Elizabethton; a niece, Legend Hardin of Elizabethton; a special cousin, Gary Keith Peters of Houston, Texas; and a special friend, Brenda Swift Campbell of Elizabethton.
    A service to celebrate Pamela's life will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Bill Greer officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, in the Garland Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Pamela's neighbors.
