    Notes:

James "Jim" Whitehead, 57, of Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, May 26, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born April 16, 1961 in Carter County to Frankie Russell Whitehead and the late "Ben" Whitehead, who passed away January 13, 2018.
God gave him a talent as a craftsman and builder from furniture to homes. He enjoyed hunting and fishing from the time he was a young boy. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he worked faithfully as a Trustee and Sunday School Teacher. Nothing meant more to him than Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Even in his toughest times, he never missed an opportunity to witness to others. Jim loved his family more than anything. He was proud of each and every one of them.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Whitehead.
Those left to cherish his memory, until they meet again, include his wife of 22 years, Joy Arnold Whitehead, of the home, and his father-in-law, James "Homer" Arnold; his children, Jordan Whitehead, David Whitehead and Tiffany Reece, all of Elizabethton; a grandson, Liam Whitehead, Gray; two sisters, Helen Wagenseller and husband Ronnie and Cindy Scalf and husband Shannon; two brothers-in-law, Ken Arnold and wife Charice and Larry Irick and wife Dawn; several beloved nieces and nephews, along with great-nieces and great-nephews, and a special cousin/brother, Ray Whitehead.
A memorial service for James "Jim" Whitehead will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. James Richardson officiating. The eulogy will be given by Rev. Paul Seefelt.
