    Notes:

    Geraldine S. Livingston, age 92, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at her residence. Geraldine was born in Carter County to the late Joe and Reatha Goodwin Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Livingston; her sisters, Betty Nave, Christine Oxendine and June Steffin; a brother, Vernon Smith; and a stepmother, Florence Leah Smith.

    Geraldine retired from North American Rayon Corporation after 50 years of service in the beaming department. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Gilda Ruth Reed and husband Teddy, of Elizabethton and Judy Scalf, of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Melanie McAllister and husband Kenneth, Stephanie Grindstaff and husband Chris, Jena Smith and husband Jason, William Shoun and wife Chessie and Jeremy Reed and wife Carrie; her great grandchildren, Tre Shoun, Jordan Smith, Liliana Ortega, Tucker Shoun, Dakota Grindstaff, Landon Smith, Macie Reed, Mycah Smith, Callen Reed, Hadley Reed and Baby Boy Reed, who is on the way; a sister, Joann Cable, of Butler; and a brother, Terry Smith, of NC. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    A service to celebrate the life of Geraldine S. Livingston will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 23, 2018 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Dr. Travis Tyler and Dr. Alan King, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Chaplin Chris Hughes. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Monday; or at the residence of her granddaughter, Stephanie, at any time.

    The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in the McKeehan Cemetery, with Pastor Dennis Peterson and Chaplin Chris Hughes, officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

    Geraldine married Melvin A. Livingston about 1947 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Melvin (son of John B. Livingston and Vistula McKeehan) was born on 29 Jan 1925 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 1 May 2004 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; was buried in McKeehan Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee.     ELIZABETHTON - Gayla Sue Oxendine Graves, 79, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born July 10, 1943, in Elizabethton to the late John & Christine Smith Oxendine. Gayla was a 1961 graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a retired employee of Raytheon Corporation, Bristol after thirty-four years of service. She loved flowers, bird watching and shopping. She was a member of Borderview Christian Church.

    Survivors include her husband Maurice “Moe” Graves. Two Daughters: Jody Shipley and wife Laura and Tina Hardin. One Granddaughter: Zoe Shipley. Two Stepsons: Buzz and Tracy Graves and her cat Tila. One Aunt: Joann Cable, Two Uncles: Terry Smith and Tom Oxendine. Also, several cousins.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Sammy Oxendine and Mr. Scott Fisher, Ministers officiating. Music will be provided by the Sacred Journey. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Joseph Greenwell, Wes Johnson, Jimmy Cable, Chris Timmons, Joel Norris and Stevie Burrough. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Nursing Staff at Sycamore Shoals Hospital including Courtney, Candace, Hana, Mark, Jessica, and Linda also the Nursing Staff at Life Care Center, of Elizabethton.
