    Troy Elzie Clawson Sr., 78, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Johnson City Medical Center due to injuries he sustained while riding an ATV on Walnut Mountain, his favorite place, doing what he loved to do with his buddies. He loved riding around and making music.
    Troy was born August 28, 1943 to Ira Clawson and Hessie Guy Clawson.
    He is survived by his seven children, Angie, Troy Jr., Elsie, Kelton, JoJo, Tuela and Lucas, and the mother of his children, Martha Vance; several nieces and nephews; and his brothers, Jim, Allen, Elwood and Shelton Clawson. He has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    He will be buried on Sunday, October 17, in the Clawson Cemetery on Clawson Hollow. Pallbearers will be his four sons, his grandson Tyler Clawson, and some of his nephews. We are hoping for his nephew preacher, Allen Clawson, to say a few words, and his nephew, “Mousie,” to sing a song. He will be missed by all who knew him. REST IN PEACE “POPS”.
