Beaverton---Robert Cochran, 79, a resident of Gladwin County for more than 50 years, died Monday evening at the Midland Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Cochran was a retired farmer. He was born May 12, 1878 in Carter County, Tenn. He married the former Ellen Skinner in June, 1902. Mr. Cochran was a member of the Beaverton Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Ellen, two daughters, Mrs. Ellis McKimmy, Beaverton, Mrs. Theodore Colbeck, Saginaw; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Nat Cochran, Midland, George Cochran, Blissfield, and James Cochran Unicoi Tenn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday from the Dale Methodist Church. The Rev. Vernon Summers will officiate assisted by the Rev. Earl Atkinson. The services will be under the auspices of the Beaverton F& AM. Friends may call at the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin on Wednesday. NATE COCHRAN OF BEAVERTON DIES AT 76
Gladwin -- NateCochran, 76, of Beaverton, died Sunday night at the Day Nursing Home, Gladwin. He has been in ill health the past year. He was born Feb. 29, 1886, in Jackson City, Tenn., and he came to Michigan in 1907, making his home in Beaverton. He was married to Miss Lula M. Erway of Edenville Sept. 5, 1909 and she died about 11 years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Jack Cochran of Midland, and Harvey Cochran, Cadillac; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Fetterolf, Midland, and Mrs. Verna Cusick, Port Richey, Fla., also one brother, George Cochran of Adrian; 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be announced later, Friends may call at the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin, where members of the family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening, also from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Linda Emeline Street, 95, 443 Sally Cove Creek Road, Hampton, died Friday, January 10, 2003, at Pine Ridge Care Center.
Mrs. Street was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Taylor and Addie Byrd Cochran. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Street, and by eight sisters and four brothers.
Mrs. Street was a member of Sally Cove Creek Community Church.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Virginia Cates and Pauline and Fate Whitehead, all of Hampton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Fredia Street, Elizabethton, Ronald and Aileen Street, Roan Mountain, and Jerome and Jackie Street, Hampton; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Billy Cochran; a special friend and caretaker, Kim Miller; and a special friend, the Rev. Shae Waters. Several other nephews and nieces also survive.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

STREET -- Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Emeline Street, 95, 443 Sally Cove Creek Road, Hampton, who died Friday, January 10, 2003, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, January 12, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Terry Jones, the Rev. L.D. Berry and the Rev. Bernie Jones officiating. Music will be provided by the Carr Family. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 13, in the Gouge-Simerly Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Monday, will be Wayne Whittemore, Gary Simerly, Harold Chambers, David Whitehead, Bob Sneyd, Wayne Cates, Kenny Brammell, Randy Colbaugh, Gary Hopson and Patrick Hammel. Honorary pallbearers will be Harlen Simerly, Donnie Chambers, Nickey Simerly, Albert Ellison, Charles Ingram, Roy Hyder, Steve Rainbolt, Jeff Trivette, Junior Whittemore, Mike Street, Kenneth Whittemore, George Collins and Bill Street. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pauline Helen Whitehead, 85, of Hampton, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital after an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Linda Cochran Street.
Pauline worked at Levi-Strauss and retired from the U.S. Forestry Service. She attended Little Doe Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fate Whitehead, and a sister, Virginia Cates.
Survivors include her children, Vivian Sneyd and husband Bobby, David Whitehead and wife Kim, Carolyn Whitehead and Sandy Whitehead, all of Hampton; six grandchildren, Cheryl, Travis, Becky, David, Heather and William; four great-grandchildren, including two that held a special place in her heart, Peyton and Ian; three brothers, Paul Street, Ronald Street and wife Aileen and Jerome Street and wife Jackie; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Pauline Helen Whitehead will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Whitehead and the Rev. Cody Fox officiating. The eulogy will be given by Ronald Street. Music will be provided by Joel Crisp. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 1, in the John Whitehead Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, will be George Collins, David Moody, Bobby Sneyd, Wayne Cates, Alex Trivette, Bob Stevens, Ed Simerly and Cecil Puckett. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Crisp, Billy Cochran, Terry Jones, Darryl Bailey, Troy Davis, Barney McKinney, Carita Rogers and family, Gerry Miller and all the U.S. Forestry employees.
