    One of the first Retail merchants, miller in Hamblen Co, Morristown, TN In 1868, GB McCrary came to Morristown, built the old McCrary storehouse on West Main Street, and engaged in a general merchandise business. Soon after the old steam mill burned, he became interested in the milling business, and did a large milling and merchandise business for more than 30 years. (Hamblen Co Genealogical Society)
