Juanita Nave Oaks, 83, Elizabethton passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 in the Ivy Hall Nursing Home. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Joke Benard and Daisy Hughes Nave. She was a graduate of Hampton High School. Juanita was a homemaker. She was a member of Rittertown Baptist Church and she enjoyed attending Beck Mountain Baptist Church. She loved to sing in the choir and was a member of the WMU. In addition to her parents, she was precedeed in death by her husband, Frederick Hall Oaks who died March 2000.

Survivors include her daughter: Marcella June Oaks and her special friend: Johnny Bradshaw.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Rittertown Baptist Church Cemetery. Music will be provided by Mr. David Arney.

Juanita married Frederick Haul "Hall" Oaks on 5 Nov 1953 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Frederick (son of Nehemiah "Near" Oaks and Ethel E. Greer) was born on 30 Aug 1927 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 7 Feb 2000 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
