ELIZABETHTON — Willie Irene Trivette, 98, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Stanleytown Nursing Home, Stanleytown, Virginia.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late John and Pearle Heaton Hayes. She had lived in Virginia for the past seven years. She formerly had worked at the Southern restaurant in Elizabethton for several years. She attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Trivette was preceded in death by her first husband, Burt Ledford; and her second husband, Floyd Trivette.
Survivors include her son: Albert Ledford, Martinsville, Virginia; One Niece: Juanita Neeley, Kingsport; Two Nephews: James Townsend, Martinsville, Virginia, and Don Townsend, Elizabethton; Several special great, great great and great great great nieces & nephews; Her special friend: Mary Johnson.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Alvarado officiating.
Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 13, 2008, in the Walnut Mountain Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
Willie married Bert Ledford on 16 Mar 1932 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Bert (son of Abe M. Ledford and Mary Delcena Briggs) was born on 9 Jan 1902 in Mitchell County, , , North Carolina; died on 3 May 1948 in Sullivan County, , , Tennessee; was buried in West Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee.
