    Ilene Ella Cuddy, age 83, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the Mountain City Care Center. Ilene was born in Mountain City to the late Taft and Selma Wilcox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Jahala Thomason and Angela Hawkins; sisters, Ola Mae, Della, Mary Lee, Maxie, Peanut and brothers, John, Ed, J.B. Ilene was a loving mother who sacrificed a lot to take care of her family. She adored all her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her. She enjoyed gardening and will mostly be remembered for being sassy.

    Those left to cherish her memories include daughters, Pam Icenhour (Billy Ray), Robin Greene (Chris), Toby Riley (Thomas); sons, Tony Nelson (Barbara), Scott (Maxie); son-in-law, Rick Thomason; sisters, Carolyn Higginbotham, Naomi Butner; brother, Rob Wilcox; grandchildren, Johnathan Thomason, Josh Thomason, Amy Zanelli, Ashley Nelson, Matthew Taylor, Becky Wallace, Mason Wilcox, Gavin Wilcox, Liza Clark, Zek Watson; great grandchildren, Violet, Everett, Michael, Lily, Ezra, Robin, Ireland, Cameryn, Collin, Carter, Brayden, Erick; several nieces and nephews.

    The family received friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church. The funeral service followed at 2:00 p.m. with Preachers Steven Spencer and Rick Thomason officiating. The graveside service and burial followed the funeral at the Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Nelson, Scott Wilcox, Mason Wilcox, Gavin Wilcox, Jonathan Thomason, Josh Thomason, Zek Watson, Brandon Clark, Ezra Taylor and Thomas Riley.

    SUMMERVILLE, SC (formerly of Elizabethton) - Joyce Bernice "Peanut" Mullins, age 77, of Summerville, SC, formerly of Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, in Summerville.

    She was born in Shouns, TN and was a daughter of the late Taft and Selma Warren Wilcox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil K. Mullins and a son, Michael K. Mullins.

    Mrs. Mullins was a member of Doe River Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who loved to sew, quilt and sit on the porch while visiting with family and friends. She loved and welcomed everyone and her friends and family all enjoyed her quick wit.

    Those left to cherish her memory include four granddaughters, Missy Mixon and her husband, Lee, Summerville, SC; Christine Webb and her husband, Kevin, Guin, AL; Summer Halpern, Fort Myers, FL; Jessi Mullins, Bluff City, TN; and several great-grandchildren. Many special nieces and nephews also survive.

    A service to honor the life of Mrs. Mullins will be conducted on Monday, February 19, 2018, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Steven Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Monday prior to the service.

    A graveside service will follow the funeral service on Monday at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Nathan Mixon, Mason Wilcox, Scott Wilcox, Jeff Wilcox, Greg Wilcox and Billy Ray Icenhour. Honorary pallbearers will be Zeke Watson, Jacob Harrington, Malachi Hatley, Thomas Riley and Johnny Lovelace.

    The family would like to express heart felt and sincere appreciation to her caregiver, Kathryn Enterline and Agape Hospice for the care and support shown to Mrs. Mullins. A very special thank you also goes to her great-granddaughter, Jenna Mixon for the care and friendship she shared with her great-grandmother every day after school.

    Joyce married Cecil K. Mullins about 1956 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. Cecil was born about 1928 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; died about 1992 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Happy Valley Memorial Park, , Carter County, Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
