JOHNSON CITY - Mr. James Hathaway, age 83, Johnson City, passed away at the JCMC hospital on Saturday, January 20, 2018

Mr. Hathaway was born March 20, 1934 in Hampton, TN. He was a retired letter carrier with the US Postal Service and a Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his mother Rose Ann Hathaway and daughter Kimberly Hathaway.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mavis Hathaway (McIntosh) of the home; son, Kevin Hathaway; daughter, Kelly Chatman; two grandsons, Kevin James Hathaway (Stephanie) and Jameson Chatman (Brandy); four great-grandchildren, Madison, Marley and Cillian Chatman and Haley Hathaway; one brother, Robert Hathaway (Lynn); two sisters, Ruth Hughes and Betty Guy (Glen) and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 2:00PM Saturday, January, 27, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 802 John Exum Parkway, Johnson City, TN with Richard Belton officiating.

JOHNSON CITY - June Evelyn Hilton, Johnson City, TN, passed away on September 4, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Ms. Hilton was born on June 1, 1935, in Elizabethton, TN, to Paul and Ruby Hathaway Garland.

Ms. Hilton was a faithful Baptist, and she was the secretary at Eternal Life Church in Johnson City. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hilton; and a brother, Stanley Garland.

She left behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Cynthia Cable; three sons, Randall Kent Hilton, Tony Parlier, and Kenny Hilton & daughter- in- law, Hazel Quintanna; two sisters, Linda Hilton and Kathy Spears; a brother, Bill Garland; A dear companion, James Fields; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Per Ms. Hilton's request, the family has chosen to have a private celebration at a later date, no public ceremonies will be conducted.

Larry Keith Hathaway, 74, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 8, 2022, surrounded by his wife and son at his residence. Larry was born in Elizabethton on October 5, 1947 to the late Ralph and Ruby Marie (White) Hathaway. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Leonard Johnson.
Larry had worked for the Department of Transportation for 38 years and was a United States Army veteran. He was a kind, loving man with a great sense of humor. He was known to be quite a jokester and enjoyed boating and fishing.
Larry was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish Larry’s memory include his beloved wife of 52 years, Peggy Hathaway; his son, Jody Hathaway; a sister, Carol Hicks; his brother-in-law, Gary Johnson; his mother-in-law, Mary D. Johnson; two nieces, Lori Ann Stout and Shana Price; and a great-nephew, Clayton Burton.
A graveside service to celebrate Larry’s life will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 11, in the Johnson Family Cemetery (Big Springs Road). The family will provide a eulogy.

Debra Anne Hathaway, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, after a lengthy illness.
Debra was a 1971 graduate of Elizabethton High School where she was Queen of Betsy her senior year. She was born in Newport News, Va., but was raised in Elizabethton, Tenn. She worked as a beautician.
Debra loved going to the beach, her animals and cared for many over the years. Debra will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her biological mother, Grace Ann Brumitt Hathaway, in 1961.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Richard Hathaway and Louise Hathaway of Elizabethton; sister, Robin Hathaway and fiancé Steven Horowitz of Culver City, Calif.; brother, Rick Hathaway of Elizabethton; nieces, Emma Grace Hathaway of Johnson City, and Frances Brody and husband Arthur of Washington State; seven grand-nieces and nephews; aunt, Bobbie Crockett and husband Jim of Wake Forest, N.C.; and uncle, Terry Brumitt and wife Becky of Hampton, Tenn.
A service to celebrate the life of Debra Anne Hathaway will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 23, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Hughes and Rev. Mark Newman officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., prior to the service. The graveside service and committal will follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Johnson City, Tenn. Pallbearers are Terry Brumitt, Henk Ruck, Roger White, Tim Slimp, Teddy Malone, Jim Crockett and Steven Horowitz.
