    Notes:

    Mandy Jane Perry, age 82, formerly of 112 9th Ave. SE, Hickory, NC wnet home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 30, 2005 in Hillview Health Center, Elizabethton following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Andy and Emma Williams. Mrs. Perry was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. S
    She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking for her family.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Butler Perry in 1965.
    Survivors are six daughters and sons-in-law, Gladys and Boyd Holloway, Hickory, NC, Brenda and Daniel Potter, Roan Mountain, Joyce and Kirby Potter, Roan Mountain, Diane and Charles Evans, Mary and Gary Fowler, Charlene and Michael Beal, all of Hickory, NC, four sons and one daughter-in-law, Lonnie Perry, Jerry and Debbie Perry, Carl Perry, all of Hickory, NC, Roy and Mary Perry, Elizabethton, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two sisters, Ida Smith and Pauline Oliver, both of Elizabethton, and three brothers, Preston Williams, D. C. Williams, Ernest Williams, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    The funeral service for Mrs. Perry will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2005 in the Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel of Peace with Rev. Bill Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday prior to the service in the chapel or at other times at the home of a son, Roy Perry, 326 Lovers Lane, Elizabethton.
    The graveside service and interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2005 in Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City.

    Amanda married Butler William Perry on 17 Mar 1945 in Carter County, , , Tennessee. Butler (son of Porter D. Perry and Maggie Morris) was born on 14 Sep 1910 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died about 1965 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Morris Cemetery, , Carter County, Tennessee.     Died:
    Brenda Gail Perry Potter, 70, of Walnut Mountain Road, Roan Mountain, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 1, 2021, at her residence.
    Brenda was born in Roan Mountain to the late Butler and Mandy Williams Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel M. Potter; a twin sister, Joyce Potter; and a brother, Roy Perry.
    Brenda had worked at Roan Mountain Highlands Nursing Home in housekeeping and was a member of High Point Baptist Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening and working puzzles.
    Those left to cherish her memories include three sons, Daniel Potter and wife Shannon, Tony Potter and Brian Potter, all of Roan Mountain; several grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Price, Diane Evans, Charlene Perry and Gladys Holloway, all of Hickory, N.C.; and three brothers, Lonnie Perry, Jerry Perry and Ed Perry, all of Hickory, N.C. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    Notes:

    Roy Albert Perry, 65, of Elizabethton, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center after an extended illness.
    A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Butler William and Mandy Jane Williams Perry.
    Mr. Perry was a retired welder at A.O. Smith, Johnson City.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Potter.
    Survivors include his wife, Sherry Birchfield Perry; a daughter, Angie and Kenny Morgan; a son, Roy Perry Jr.; two step-daughters; a step-son; five sisters and three brothers; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
    A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Nelson officiating.
