    Burchell Ray Dunn, age 81 of Mountain City passed away on Friday May 17, 2019, at the VA Medical Center Mountain Home, Tennessee. Burchell was born in Shouns, Tennessee on November 23, 1937, to the late Fred and Pearl Dunn. In addition to his parents, Burchell is preceded in death by two brothers, Dwayne Dunn and Burnis Dunn.

    Burchell served in the US Army as a member of the Military Police from 1960-62. After completing his time in the Army, Burchell made a living working as a carpenter. Burchell enjoyed spending his free time on the banks of a mountain stream with his fishing pole and enjoying nature.

    Burchell leaves behind two sons, Donald Stout of Bay City, MI and Kevin Stout of Mountain City, TN; a sister, Patty Dunn Lanahan of PA; a brother, Darrell Dunn of PA; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; special friends, Gary Cooper, Bill Dunn, and Ernest Dunn.

    Graveside service and internment will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN. Military Honors will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard.
