PAULINE CABLE Pauline Cable, age 88, 320 Sugar Hollow Road, Butler, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 3, 2003 at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Laura Crosswhite Lunceford. She was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. Mrs. Cable was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. "Bill" Cable, September 6, 1993, grandson, Darren Arney, brother, Loyd Lunceford, Brother-in-law, Oda Cable, son-in-law, Ellis Stanbery. Survivors include, 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Laura Stanbery, Butler, Elena and Glenn Arney, Butler, Ida Lee and Wayne Arney, Mountain City, son and daughter-in-law, Elbert and Jo Ann Cable, Butler, sister-in-law, Margie Bunton, Flint, MI, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Pauline Cable, age 88, 320 Sugar Hollow Road, Bulter who went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 3, 2003 will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5 at Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel of Peace with Rev. Richard Jones, Rev. James Richardson, and Rev. Lewis Norwood officiating. Music will be under the direction of Sugar Grove Baptist Church Quartet. The graveside service and interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6 at Crosswhite Cemetery, Butler. Active pallbearers will be Jim Cable, Doug Arney, Dan Arney, Matt Eggers, Jerry Dugger, Robert Reece, Larry Eggers, Jeff Guy, and Dewayne Arney. Honorary pallbearers will be George Haga, Glenn Arney, George Robinson, Raymond Campbell, J.R. Bunton, Delmas Bunton, Dr. Todd Whitaker, Lowell Trivett, Junior Trivett, Georg Bunton, Glenn Norris, Cecil Stanberry, Travis Mink, Grover Tester, Jordan Arney, Will Arney, Dillon Walker, Chad Guy and Ethan Guy.

Neata married Howard C. Cable on 24 Dec 1932 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. Howard (son of Jordan Phillips Cable and Ida Jane Dugger) was born on 10 Apr 1910 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 6 Sep 1993 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Crosswhite Cemetery, , Johnson County, Tennessee. Laura Alberta Stanbery, age 81 of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born on January 8, 1936 to the late H.C. and Pauline Lunsford Cable. In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Stanbery; one daughter, Linda Farthing; one son, Cecil Stanberry and his wife Louise.

Laura enjoyed working outside in her yard and flower and vegetable gardens. She especially enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. Laura worked for the Johnson County School System in the food service department for over 25 years. She was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories include her children: Michelle and husband David of the home, Barbara Norris and husband Glenn of Butler, TN and Teresa Lawrence and husband Steve of Hickory, NC; sisters: Ida Lee Arney of Mountain City, TN and Elena Arney and husband Glenn of Butler, TN; brother, Elbert Cable and wife JoAnn; grandchildren: Chad Guy, Ethan Guy, Renee Guy, Scott Norris, Angie Norris, Tammy Farthing, Lisa Miller, Jeff Farthing, Chasity Townsend and David Fletcher; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her church family.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastors Ray Greene and Richard Jones officiating.

Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Dugger, Dwayne Arney, Doug Arney, Matt Eggers, Brian Curtis, Eric Fagan and Dan Arney. Honorary pallbearers are Glenn Norris, Steve Lawrence, David Guy, Jimmy Cable, Raymond Campbell, Delmas Bunton, Lester Reece and Doug Arnold.
