    Margie Dyson, age 66, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was born on January 23, 1951 to the late Clyde and Sylvia Smith Fritts. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband Daryl Dyson.

    Margie loved her family and her Native American family and enjoyed Native American Pow-Wows. She was a hard worker and was always doing something. Margie loved singing bluegrass and gospel with her Uncle Bill. She was known by many family and friends for her famous potato salad with lots of onions. She also loved animals especially her two dogs, Bear and Gizmo.

    Margie was a member of Sink Valley Baptist Church.

    Those left to cherish her memories include her companion, Gene Roark; daughters: Velina Hewett and husband Ike and Melissa Dyson; son, Charlie Dyson and wife Soretta; sisters: Lisa Fritts and Phyllis Weber; brothers: Buck Fritts and Buster Fritts; grandchildren: Brittany Dyson, Ashley Miller, Cephus Hewett, Mary Jones, Jacob Dyson and NeNe Dyson; great grandchildren: Nevaeh Jones and Grace Jones; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Harvey White officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow at the Mast Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ike Hewett, Cephus Hewett, Ricky Jones, Dustin Fritts, Michael Morgan, Ryan Miller, Keith Allen, Josh Allen and Adam Miller. Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Dyson, Gene Roark, Buck Fritts and Buster Fritts.
