    Notes:

    JOHNSON CITY - Max. E. Churchill, 60, of Johnson City, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017, in Elizabethton. He was born in Council Bluffs, IA, a son of the late Max Kenneth and Norma Day Churchill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Jeannine Yarber.

    Mr. Churchill was the owner and operator of Churchill Plumbing and was a member of Boone Trail Baptist Church. He loved sports, especially football and baseball, and delighted in watching his sons play.

    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of fourteen years, Sandra Churchill, of the home; two sons, William Max "Will" Churchill and Andrew Luke Churchill, of the home; a special aunt, Dean Shultz, Elizabethton; three sisters, Connie Glasure, and her husband, Bob, Johnson City; Jody Brace; Maxine Deloach, and her husband, Jeff, all of Elizabethton; one brother, Danny Churchill, Elizabethton; his father-in-law, Blaine Yarber, Jr, Emory VA; five brothers-in-law, Blaine Yarber, III, and his wife, Clara, Abingdon, VA; Phillip Yarber, and his wife, Susie, Marion, VA; Jerry Yarber, and his wife, Bobbi, Meadowview, VA; Jeff Yarber, and his wife, Stephanie, Blountville, TN; Tracy Yarber, and his wife, Valerie, Meadowview, VA; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Roe, and her husband, Dewey, Abingdon, VA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Max Churchill will be conducted on Monday, February 20, 2017, at 7:00 PM in the Boone Trail Baptist Church, 1985 Carroll Creek Road, Johnson City, with Pastor Dwight Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends in the church from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday prior to the service, or at the home of his aunt, Dean Shultz, at other times.

    The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 11:00 AM in the Caldwell Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bryan Hoilman, Jeff McCurry, Matt Pearce, David Payne, Mark Pearce and Keith Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Matthews, Donnie Barnett, Mark Blackmer, Dusty Weathers, Rick Mullins, Richard Tucker, Johnny Broyles, Carl Little and Pat Weber. Those wishing to attend are invited to meet the family at Hathaway Percy Funeral and Cremation Services at 10:15 AM on Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
