    Mary Iva Barry, age 90, of Mountain City, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Mountain City Care Center. She was born in Sullivan County, TN on July 13, 1924 to the late William Crussell and Pearl Cross Crussell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Berlie A 'Buck' Barry, who passed away on April 29, 2012.

    Mary enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and her flowers. She loved her family and wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. Mary will be truly missed by all who knew her.

    Mary loved attending church and was a member of Liberty Christian Church. She loved her church family and truly enjoyed reading her Bible.

    She is survived by a daughter, Alice Faye McCloud; sons and daughters-in law: Daniel and Gearlene Barry, Wayne and Vickie Barry and Joe and Pat Barry all of Mountain City, TN; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters: Faye Webb, Juanita Harkleroad and Hazel Moretz, several nieces and nephews.

    Mary married Burlie Alexander "Buck" Berry about 1946 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee. Burlie (son of Daniel Hugh Berry and Mary Alice Grindstaff) was born on 13 Feb 1924 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; died on 29 Apr 2012 in Johnson County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Phillippi Cemetery, Highway 421, Johnson County, Tennessee.     MOUNTAIN CITY - Daniel W. Barry, age 69, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on January 17, 1947 in Mountain City, TN to the late Berlie A. Barry and Mary I. Crussell Barry.

    Daniel was a former principal at Little Milligan Elementary School until his retirement in 2001. He was one who loved genealogy and had many names on the tree. Daniel was a member of the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge #243 and an active member of the Dewey Christian Church.

    Daniel is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gearlene Parks Barry; sister, Alice McCloud of Johnson City, TN; brothers: Joe Barry and wife Pat and Wayne Barry and wife Vickie all of Mountain City, TN; brother-in-law, Gene Parks and wife Ann of Elk Creek, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the Funeral Service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Minister C.D. 'Bud' Gentry officiating. Special music will be provided by Mr. Fred Ramsey. Graveside Service and Interment with Masonic Rites will follow at the Phillippi Cemetery. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge #243. Pallbearers will be Bo Henson, C.J. McCloud, Jason Barry, Chuck McCracken, Brad Gentry and Chris Pierce. Honorary pallbearers are Frankie Gentry, Dearl Swift and the Men of Dewey Christian Church.

    The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Amedisys Home Health, Dr. Robert Griffith and Dr. Emily McQueen.
