    Notes:

    Shirley McNutt Morgan, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 05, 2017 Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

    Shirley was born in Bristol, Tennessee to the late Henderson W. McNutt and Zula Draper McNutt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Frank H. Morgan; a brother, Jack McNutt; and a sister Mary Ellen Nidiffer.

    Shirley was a loving wife, a caring mother and productive professional. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Johnson City, Tennessee and the Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She retired as a Field Agent of the Internal Revenue Service. She was a graduate of Elizabethtons' High School, class of 1942. She enjoyed sewing and was known as the family historian. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.

    Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Rebecca L. Morgan and husband Jep Choate, of Albuquerque, NM; a nephew, Robert L. Nidiffer and wife Cindy, of Knoxville, TN; cousins, Claudine Booher, of NC, Phil Draper, of AZ, Roger Draper, of TN, Norman Draper, of TN; several other beloved cousins and distant relatives also survive.

    A graveside service to honor the life of Shirley McNutt Morgan will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, October, 11, 2017 at Happy Valley Memorial Park, 2508 Elizabethton Hwy, Elizabethton, Tennessee, with her son-in-law Jep Choate, officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the Cemetery at 2:20PM on Wednesday.

    KNOXVILLE - Mary Ellen McNutt Nidiffer, age 90, of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.

    Mary Ellen was born in Bristol, Virginia to the late Henderson W. McNutt and Zula Draper McNutt.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert C. Nidiffer, in 2013; and a brother, Jack McNutt.

    Mary Ellen was a member of the First Knoxville Seventh-day Adventist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. She retired from Mountain Home Veteran's Hospital in Johnson City. She moved to Knoxville in 1992 with her husband, Robert, to be close to her son's family. She was a loving wife, mother, and "Nana" who took excellent care of her family. She will always be remembered for her kindness and dedication to her Lord.

    Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Robert L. Nidiffer and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Abby Wilson and husband Jake and Robby Nidiffer and wife Stephanie; great grandchildren, Halle Wilson and Audrey Wilson; her sister, Shirley Morgan; and several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

    A graveside service to honor the life of Mary Ellen McNutt Nidiffer will be conducted at 3:15 PM on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Happy Valley Memorial Park, 2508 Elizabethton Highway, Elizabethton, Tennessee with Rev. Kent Williams and Rev. Nathan Williams, chaplain, officiating. Active pallbearers will be Robby Nidiffer, Jake Wilson, Larry Clark, Matthew Clark, Andrew Clark, and Del Byrd.

    Mary married Robert C. Nidiffer about 1950 in , Giles County, Tennessee, . Robert (son of Fusson L. Nidiffer and Anna Lee "Annie" Adams) was born about 1927 in Carter County, , , Tennessee; died on 11 Aug 2013 in Knox County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Happy Valley Memorial Park, , Carter County, Tennessee.
