    ELIZABETHTON - Lulean Elizabeth Dolan Emmert, 95, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in the Pine Ridge Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Roan Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Raymond & Macie Nelson Dolan. Mrs. Emmert was a homemaker who loved working in her garden and cooking. She was a member of the Big Springs Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Arnold E. Emmert, a son: Roy G. Emmert, two grandsons : Kit Brian McQueen and Donnie Emmert and one granddaughter: Renee Birchfield, four brothers and one sister.

    Survivors include Two Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Mary "Midge" & Kit McQueen and Brenda & Randy Crowe, all of Elizabethton. Five Granddaughters: Melissa Buxton, Donna Vaughn, Kristen Colon, Sharon Tipton and Robin Causby. Two Grandsons: Nathan Crowe and Chris McQueen. Several Great Grandchildren, Several nieces & nephews.

    Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Glen Layfield, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a very special "Thank You" to the entire staff of Pine Ridge Care Center for the excellent care our mother received during her stay there.

    Lurlean married Arnold E. Emmert about 1936 in Carter County, , , Tennessee.     ELIZABETHTON - Mary “Midge” McQueen, age 80, of Elizabethton, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Signature Health Care of Elizabethton. Midge was born in Carter County to the late Arnold and Lulean Dolan Emmert. In addition to her parents, Midge was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debra Karen; a son, Kit B. McQueen; a great grandson, Timothy James Vaughn; a brother, Roy Emmert; and a sister, Brenda Crowe.

    Mary was a homemaker and a member of Big Spring Church of Christ. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with family and going camping.

    Those left to cherish Midge’s wonderful memory include her husband of fifty five years, Kit Carson McQueen of Elizabethton; a daughter, Donna Vaughn and husband Jimmy of Elizabethton; a son, Christopher Gene McQueen and wife Dorothy also of Elizabethton; five grandchildren, Channa Williams, Brandi Estep and husband Donny, Josh Vaughn and wife Cassie, Skylar McQueen and Christian McQueen; four great grandchildren, Ky-Ream Desselle, Edgar Estep, Oliver Vaughn and Owen Vaughn. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

    A celebration of Midge’s life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, August 23, 2021 in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home Elizabethton with Pastor Glen Layfield officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Monday.

    The graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Vaughn, Chris McQueen, Skylar McQueen, Josh Vaughn, Donny Estep, Kevin Rominger and Tim Ward.

    Brenda Gail Emmert Crowe, 70, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 31, 2018, from Signature Health Care of Elizabethton. Brenda was born in Elizabethton, Tenn., to the late Arnold and Lulean Dolan Emmert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Randy Crowe, in December 2017; an infant daughter; and one brother, Roy Emmert.
    Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a homemaker and a member of Big Springs Church of Christ.
    Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Melissa Buxton and husband Don of Jonesborough; her son, Nathan Crowe and wife Rachel of Elizabethton; a sister, Midge McQueen and husband Kit of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Thomas Buxton and wife Tiffany, Kelby Buxton and Desmond Richardson; one great-grandchild, Jackson Cole Buxton; and several nieces and nephews.
    A service to celebrate the life of Brenda Gail Emmert Crowe will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 2, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Glenn Layfield officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service, or at the residence of her daughter at other times. The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Kelby Buxton, Chris McQueen, Thomas Buxton, Kevin Rominger, Keith Tipton, Jimmy Vaughn and Josh Vaughn.
