    Notes:

    Rana Dugger Trivette, 92, of Butler, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System following an extended illness.

    Ms. Trivette was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Martha Jane Dugger. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Henson; three brothers, Wheeler Hicks, Breamer Dugger and Earl Dugger; and four sisters, Ethel Lambert, Sylvia Harmon, Flossie Baird and Stella Ward.

    Ms. Trivette retired from Blue Ridge Shoe Company as an assembly worker and was a member of Piney Grove Church of Christ in the Poga Community.

    Survivors include a daughter, Martha Glenda Kay Brush and husband, Richard, Morristown, TN; a son, Boyd Trivette and wife, Donnis, Butler, TN; five grandchildren, Sheila Loudermilk and husband, Mike, Lisa Brush, Heather Brush Hawkins and husband, John, Todd Trivette and wife, Beverly, and Eric Trivette; two great grandchildren, Justin Loudermilk and Jake Trivette; a son-in-law, Charles Henson, Elizabethton; one sister, Selma Dugger, Butler; several nieces and nephews to include special nephews, Ricky Harmon and Dewey Dugger, and special nieces, Barbara Nunley, Arbeulah Lambert, Shelby Lunceford and Margaret Ward.

    The funeral service for Ms. Trivette will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2013, in the Piney Grove Church of Christ with Pastor Dean Estep and Pastor Steve Hilmon officiating.

    The family will receive friends on Friday, March 29, 2013, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Tetrick Funeral Home in Elizabethton.

    The graveside service will follow in the Piney Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Justin Loudermilk, Jake Trivette, Dexter Lunceford, Richard Lunceford, Danny Lunceford and Ricky Harmon.     Heaven gained the sweetest angel on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. Kathleen Harmon "Granny", 80, of Elizabethton went home to be with her Lord at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born January 30, 1939, in Butler, Tenn. to Luther and Flossie Dugger Baird. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her Children: Burl Harmon and her infant Grandson: Jeffrey Aaron Bradley.

    Those left to cherish her memory are three Brothers: J.W. Baird and wife, Opal of Hampton, Tenn., Jimmy Allen Baird and wife Winnie of Newland, NC, and Jerry Baird and Anna Hensley of Hampton, Tenn.; her Daughters: Connie Tester and husband Mike, Debbie Madgett and husband Chuck, both of Elizabethton, Tenn. and Donna Bradley and husband Jeff of Hampton, Tenn.; her four Granddaughters who were her pride and joy: Kelli Pittman and husband Luke of Newland, NC, Savannah Madgett and special friend Shane McConnell of Elizabethton, Tenn., Chelsea Garland and husband Dustin of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Emilie Madgett of Elizabethton, Tenn.

    Kathleen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be dearly missed by many. She was raised in the Poga Community and attended Piney Grove Church of Christ, but was a member of First Christian Church of Elizabethton. She worked in the nursery for many years and attended faithfully until her health declined. She enjoyed watching church services online and attending Bible study at Courtyard Apartments where she lived. She was retired and spent many years cleaning for Stacy's Carpet at Citizens Bank, Carter County Bank, and East TN Undergarment. She loved family time, shopping at her favorite boutique, The Dainty Darling, and eating at her favorite restaurants, City Market & The Firehouse.

    A Celebration of Life service was held at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019, at the First Christian Church of Elizabethton, with Mr. Michael Klaus, Pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. The family received friends at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. or at the home of her daughter, Debbie Madgett, at other times. A Graveside Service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019, in the Piney Grove Church of Christ Cemetery in Butler (Poga), Tenn. Active pallbearers were selected from family, friends and church family.

    Kathleen married Burl Harmon about 1957. Burl (son of William James Harmon and Winnie Jane Lewis) was born on 22 Jan 1936 in , Avery County, North Carolina, ; died on 29 Nov 2016 in Washintgon County, , , Tennessee; was buried in Harmon Cemetery, Butler, Carter County, Tennessee.     Peggy R. Henson, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, age 67, 311 Centennial Dr., Elizabethton, passed away Monday, December 28, 2009 in Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness. She was a native of Carter County, born to Rana Dugger Trivette, Poga and the late Elmer Trivette. Mrs. Henson was a member of Poga Church of Christ but had attended First Christian Church of Elizabethton. She retired from Levi-Strauss. Mrs. Henson loved the children of Princeton Prep Preschool.


    Mrs. Henson is survived by her husband Charles Henson of the home, one daughter and son-in-law: Shelia and Mike Loudermilk, one special grandson: Justin Loudermilk, all of Johnson City, one brother and sister-in-law: Boyd and Donnis Trivette, Poga, one sister and brother-in-law: Glenda Kay and Richard Brush, Morristown, three sisters-in-law: Marquitta Greene and husband J.M., Elk Park, NC, Geraldine Stewart and husband David, Bernita Grindstaff and husband Luther, all of Johnson City three half brothers, Dale Trivette, MIke Trivette and Bobby Trivette and and special people in her life: The Hilman family, J. L. Collins and family, Floyd and Oma Lambert, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Range and the staff and families of Princeton Prep Preschool. Several very special nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.


    The funeral service for Mrs. Henson will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 30th in the Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel of Peace with Mr. J. C. Anderson, Minister officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel prior to the service or at the residence at any time.


    The graveside service and interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 31st in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Everyone is welcome to meet the family at 9:50 a.m. Thursday at the cemetery for the service. Active pallbearers will be Bill Ward, Mike Greene, Richard Brush, John Hawkins and others selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be J. L. Collins and Floyd Lambert.

    Peggy married Charles Edward Henson about 1963. Charles (son of John Paul Henson and Ira B. Mr. Trivette was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Elmer and Rana Dugger Trivette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Henson and a half brother, David Potter.

    Mr. Trivette retired from Watauga Industries as a textile worker and was a member of Piney Grove Church of Christ.

    Survivors include his wife, Donnis Trivette, of Butler; two sons, Todd Trivette and wife Beverly, of Butler, and Eric Trivette of Hampton; one grandson, Jake Trivette of Butler; one sister, Martha "Glenda Kay" Brush and husband Richard, of Morristown; three half brothers, Mike Trivette, Bobby Trivette, and Dale Potter, all of Butler; brother-in-laws, Ricky Guy, of North Carolina, Gary Guy of Butler, and Charles Henson, of Elizabethton; sisters-in-law, Regina Cable of North Carolina and Oma Lee Lambert of Elizabethton; and a special niece, Sheila Loudermilk, of Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

    The funeral service for Mr. Trivette will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2013 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Rev. Bryan Miller, officiating. Music will be under the direction of the members of Flat Springs Choir. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday.

    The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 in the Piney Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jake Trivette, Justin Loudermilk, Charles Henson, Gary Guy, Lloyd Cable and Ricky Guy. Honorary pallbearers will be Boyd's friends of the Elk Mills and Poga Community. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 AM on Saturday, December 14, 2013.

    Martha Glenda Kay Trivette Brush, 69, of Morristown, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. Martha was born in Carter County, Tenn., a daughter of the late Elmer Trivette and Rana Dugger Trivette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Henson, and her brothers, Boyd Trivette, David Potter and Mike Trivette. Martha was a homemaker and a member of Piney Grove Christian Church in the Poga Community of Butler. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt and friend, and will be missed by all that knew her. Martha loved her cats as her family.     A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin B. and Polly Dugger.

    She was a member of Piney Grove Church of Christ. She was a retired employee of Levi Strauss, Mountain City.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Renes D. Harmon, April 14, 1999; and two brothers, Freeman and Robert Dugger.

    Survivors include three daughters, Bea Montgomery, Elizabethton, Sharon Helbert, Elizabethton, and Penny Guy, Johnson City; one son, Tony Harmon, Butler; seven grandchildren, Brian Montgomery, Elizabethton, Vince Helbert Jr., Elizabethton, Justin Harmon, Butler, Josh Harmon, Mountain City, Jessica Arnold, Mountain City, Jennifer Crowe, Durham, N.C., and Rebecca Barlow, Johnson City; two great-grandchildren, Morgan Crowe, Durham, N.C., and Dillan Barlow, Johnson City; two sisters, Eula Harmon, Elk Park, N.C., and Marge McGuire, Aiken, S.C.; five brothers, Lenville Dugger, Johnson City, Dewey Dugger, Butler, Milton Dugger, Johnson City, Joseph Dugger, Butler, and Earl Dugger, Johnson City; several nieces and nephews also survive.

    JOHNSON CITY - Our dear momma Penny Guy, 70, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2022 after a brief illness surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

    She was born January 28, 1952 in Banner Elk, North Carolina to the late Renes & Martha Dugger Harmon. She retired fromTexas Instruments as an Administrative Secretary. She spent her life devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. She showed by example what unconditional love is. She was selfless, giving and the strongest woman we’ve ever known. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate of 49 years, Counce Guy who passed away August 21, 2019.

    Left to cherish her memories are her daughters: Jenni Crowe, Wesley Chapel, Florida and Becky Barlow, Johnson City. Her Grandchildren: Morgan (Jon) Rinke and Dillon Barlow, Her sister: Bea Montgomery and brother: Tony Harmon and her cat and best friend “Grey.”

    The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday December 5, 2022 in the funeral home. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

    On Tuesday, August 9, 2022 our beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Sharon Ann (Harmon) Helbert, passed away at the age of 60. Sharon was born on February 18, 1962 to the late Renis “Did” and Martha (Dugger) Harmon. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Vince Helbert, in 2004, and a brother-in-law, Counce Guy.
    Sharon was a warm, loving and caring woman who loved her family and most especially her beautiful granddaughters without limits. Sharon was selfless and always willing to do whatever she could for her family, friends and even those she didn’t know would be a friend as soon as she met them and smiled her beautiful, genuine smile. She was very hardworking, having worked at Bell for over 25 years until moving to Borla Exhaust where she retired. The joy of her life was her family and spending time with them making memories and loving on her grandchildren.
    Those left to remember and cherish the memories Sharon made include her beloved son, Vince Helbert, and his children (the loves of Sharon’s life), Grace and Sophia Helbert; her brother, Tony Harmon; and her two sisters and best friends, Penny Harmon Guy and Beatrice “Bea” Harmon Montgomery. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and numerous friends also survive.
    A celebration of Sharon’s life will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, August 15, in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Mark Street officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, prior to the service.
    Sharon will be laid to rest beside her husband in the George Mottern Cemetery at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, in the Watauga Community of Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be selected from Sharon’s family and friends.
