    ELIZABETHTON - Roger Dale Pierce, 73, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 in the Johnson City Medical Center, after a short illness with his family by his side. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Ellis & Goldie Blackwell Pierce. He was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. Roger served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Roger worked as a welder and millwright and retired from Daniels Construction at Eastman. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a generous, gifted and loving brother and friend. He was a wonderful husband always aspiring to care for Debbie. Roger was a member of First Christian Church and was a devoted student of the word of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws: Mary and Eugene Bowers.

    Survivors include his wife: Debbie Bowers Pierce, His Brothers: Terry (Barbara) Pierce and Bruce (Mary) Pierce. The family would like to thank those at Franklin-Woods and the Johnson City Medical Center for the care Roger received.

    It was Roger’s request that there be no services.
