    Robert Hooker Stout was the son of John L. Stout and Evaline Peters. He was the husband of Alice Heatherly.

    Funeral services for Robert Hooker Stout will be held at 2:00 pm Monday from the Hampton Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn Smith. Music is under the direction of the Hardin Brothers Quartet. The body will remain at the Chapel of the Tetrick Funeral Home until noon Monday when it will be taken to the church. The family will receive friends between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 till 9 pm Sunday. Active pallbearers will be Paul McNeil, Bill Pierce, Clyde Cates, Floyd Vines, Tom Smith, Ben Tester, Fred Casey and A.C. Malone. Flower bearers will be selected at the service. Interment will be in the Morton Cemetery. Tetrick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    ELIZABETHTON - Lula Dorothy Lett, "Dottie", age 81 of Elizabethton, passed away on, Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

    Dottie was a native of Carter County and was the daughter of the late Bonnie Stout Nave and Worley Milburn Nave, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, JoAnn Rash; two brothers, Worley Nave, Jr. and James Nave; two infant twin siblings; a grandchild, Jenna Claymon and a step-granddaughter, Charlene Cox.

    Dottie was a long time member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church. She cooked Wednesday night meals for the church and always participated in Bible School activities. She was a very devoted Christian even to her last days. Most of all she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always put others before herself.

    Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, James "Broad" Lett, of the home; two sons, Phillip Claymon and wife, Michell, of Elizabethton; Gary Claymon, of Elizabethton; two step-children, Reggie Lett and wife, Kathy, of Bluff City; Sharon Russell, of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Angelia Claymon Hurley and husband, Aaron Hurley, of Piney Flats; Michael Claymon, of Elizabethton; Kelsie Butler and fiancé Spencer Feathers, of Johnson City; Leesha Whistine and significant other, Greg, of Johnson City; two great-granddaughters, Alexis Claymon and Ava Claymon, both of Piney Flats; and a sister, Della Duvall, of Elizabethton. Several nieces, nephews and other grandchildren also survive.

    A service to honor the life of Mrs. Lett will be conducted on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Jayson Hoagland officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Willie Horton and Mr. Aaron Hurley. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel on Friday prior to the service.

    The graveside and interment service will be conducted on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 12:00 PM at East Tennessee Cemetery. Active pallbearers will Greg Garland, Spencer Feathers, Aaron Hurley, Reggie Lett, Gary Claymon, Phillip Claymon and Michael Claymon. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Schlueter, Joe Turbyfill, Silas (Si) Tester, Verlin Smith and Mike McKinney.

    Della Ruth Nave Duvall, 79, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 6, 2021, at NHC Healthcare of Johnson City following a courageous battle with Alzheimers. Della was born in Carter County to the late Worley Milburn Nave and Bonnie Stout Nave.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Duvall; two brothers, Worley Nave Jr. and Robert “Jim” Nave; and two sisters, Joann Rash and Dorothy Lett.
    Della retired from North American Rayon Corporation and had farmed all of her life in Carter County. She was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church and a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews.
    A graveside service to honor the life of Della Ruth Nave Duvall will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, at Happy Valley Memorial Park.

    JoAnn Rash, 72, of Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Holston Valley Medical Center, following an extended illness. JoAnn was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Worley Milburn Nave Sr. and Bonnie Stout Nave. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Worley Nave Jr. and James Nave, and two infant twin siblings.
    JoAnn was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church and a previous member of Hunter First Baptist Church. She loved all her church family of both churches and was a faithful helper with the AWANA program. Most of all she was a devoted mother and grandmother.
    Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Lindsay Rash II and wife Tammy, of Elizabethton; her daughter, Linda McClure and husband Mitchell, of Elizabethton; three grandsons, Andrew Rash, of Seattle, Ezekiel McClure and Josh Jones, both of Elizabethton; two great-granddaughters, Kaydence Carroll and Kennedy Jones, both of Elizabethton; her sisters, Dorothy Lett and Della Duvall (her best friend), both of Elizabethton; and a special sister-in-law, Patricia Rash, of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    A service to honor the life of JoAnn Rash will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, April 18, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Rusty Verran officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, prior to the service, or at the residence of her son or daughter at anytime. The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Josh Jones, Andrew Rash, Zeke McClure, Guy Horne, Gary Claymon and Billy Rash. Honorary pallbearers will be her church families and her neighbors and friends of Blue Springs and Siam Communities.

    Brady M. Nave, 57, of Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Elizabethton, Tenn., to the late Worley M. Nave Jr. and Thelma Catherine Hardin Nave of Elizabethton. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Blanche Hardin, and a first cousin, Gary Clemmons.
    Brady was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on cars. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his wife and grandchildren.
    Brady proudly served in the U.S. Army for 28 years and was a part of Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
    Those in addition to his mother left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Nave, of the home; a daughter, Reva Phillips and fiancé, Daniel Bates; a son, Sammy Phillips and fiancée, Tammy Wilson of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Wesley Phillips, Pheonixx Phillips and McKynlee Bates; and a special brother-in-law, Walter E. Williams (DeRhonda) of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 18. A committal service to honor the life of Brady M. Nave will be conducted Monday, July 19, at 2 p.m. in the Mountain Home National Cemetery at the New Annex (215 Heroes Drive, Mountain Home, Tn). Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Monday. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Walter Williams, Wesley Phillips, Jim Bowling, Harvey Tester and Rod Whitehead.
